Mystic Pizza (1988)

Tom makes mention of Julia Roberts at April and Andy's dinner party. Ron asks Tom if she's that "toothy girl from Mystic Pizza".

Laurie is going on a date to a political function with Smith, a man she met at the bar. She is told not to worry because her date will end up being just like "Pretty Woman." Laurie disagrees, saying it would actually be more like the movie "Mystic Pizza", but either way she'll get to play Julia Roberts.

Jenna tells Liz that over the summer break, she was in a stage production, playing the leading role in Mystic Pizza. Her role caused her to gain a significant amount of weight, after eating four slices of pizza during every performance in the musical adaptation of the film 'Mystic Pizza'.
