Silas (a.k.a. Mike) is pretending to be a college student in Seattle. He is invited by his new friend to come to his place to watch 'Office Space'.

Dick's quote "I got the stapler!" is a subtle joke: Dick is voiced by actor Stephen Root, who played Milton in the movie Office Space, a character who is obsessed about his missing stapler.

When Brian and Stewie steal Peter's record, they smash it like the guys did to the printer in Office Space. They also play the same song in both scenes.

The line about "TPS reports" is a reference to the film, 'Office Space'.
