Amazon.com Commercial for Amazon Kindle

Fall/Winter 2009

Plot / Description

This is a stop-motion commercial. It begins with an Amazon Kindle on a light blue background, then a blond woman grabs the Kindle and looks at it. Then old-fashioned pilot gear (leather helmet, goggles, and a scarf) are put onto her, and she is "flying". A small red airplane like the red barron is seen flying around her. Then she is falling with pieces of cotton acting as clouds. Her pilot gear and clothing change as she is falling, and by the time she lands (on a bicyle, she is wearing a sun dress, sunglasses, and a scarf over her head. She then flips of the bike and is changed into a hunter with a racoon skin hat and gun. After firing the gun, a red cloth spreads over the background, and becomes a curtain. She comes out from behind the curtain in a "puff of smoke" (more cotton), and is dressed as a male magician. The Kindle has ears on it, and it the rabbit in her hat.

Voiceover

(lyrics)
Silver moons and paper dreams
Faded maps and shiny things
You're my favorite one-man show
A million different ways to go
Will you fly me away?
Take me away with you my love
