At Popisms.com, we show you how pop culture (TV, movies, books, ads) is connected to other pop culture. For example, what song is in that Olympics commercial or TV episode? What book is that character reading? What music is another song sampling? We answer these questions and many more.

"DONATE 4 BIRDS | THE NEW ECOSYSTEM"

Written Text

Conservation International is a global organization aiming to create a sustainable social environment.
Today, 1 out of 7 species of wild birds, said to be barometers for the environment, is threatened with extinction.
The wipeout of even one species significantly impacts our daily lives.
"Because the numbers of vultures have significantly declined, the number of cases of rabies has increased tremendously in India." - Raptor Biologist, The Peregrine Fund, Munir Virani

The Twitter logo is the most prevalent bird in the world.
But with so many new sites and apps, many people are getting bored of using social media, including Twitter.
DONATE 4 BIRDS is a project that creates a new link between Twitter, wild birds and a sustainable social environment.
The California Condor in the USA is endangered.
If they become extinct, a problem like the rabies issue in India could occur.
Those still on Twitter can use the $Cashtag, a new donation function, to donate money to wild birds.
Those who have stopped using Twitter, or even just want a break from it, can donate their accounts for a certain period to get the word out and appeal for donations.
