Plot / Description
This black and white commercial shows Christina Aguilera walking down the stairs with a guitar player (Johsh Klinghoffer). She stops in the middle of what appears to be a mall or shopping center and a crowd of people gather as she sets up and starts singing. In front of her is an open guitar case with a sign saying, "$1 for hope". As she continues singing, a little girl comes up and puts a dollar in the guitar case and Christina Aguilera smiles and nods at her. After she finishes singing, there is a shot of needy people with a young girl holding a bright orange cup in the foreground.
Every day is so wonderful
And suddenly, I saw debris
Now and then, I get so insecure
From all the pain, I'm so ashamed
You are beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring you down
So don't you bring me down today
You don't have to be famous or even be able to sing. To turn hunger to hope. Every 6 seconds a child dies from hunger. Everyone can do something to stop it. All it takes is a dollar. And you. Hope is in your hands.
$1 for hope
