Plot / DescriptionThis commercial for Macy's features clips from the classic Christmas movie, "A Miracle on 34th Street" (the plot of which centered around the Macy's store in New York) superimposed on this modern ad. Kris Kringle (aka Santa Claus), who is in black and white while everyone else is in color, stops in the store and asks the Macy's manager and Martha Stewart who is in charge - they both say they are. Later he is hired, and he says he has an appointment with Mr. Macy, but Taylor Swift says to Marcus Samuelsson that there hasn't been a Mr. Macy since before she was born. Later Kris Kringle gets interrogated by Donald Trump, and has to pull on his beard to prove he's real. Any elf sees this and tells Tommy Hilfiger that it's the real Santa, but Tommy isn't convinced - after all, the elf also said the Easter Bunny was real.
Later Justin Bieber asks Santa to take him off the Naughty List, and that he'll try to be good. Martha is upset with Santa because she didn't get the pony she asked for, and also because he calls her Susie. Taylor Swift and the manager almost get run over by Kringle as he drives by in a golf cart (inside), while Santana plays a Christmas song on his guitar. At the end, Donald Trump is shown writing his letter to Santa.
VoiceoverKris Kringle: I beg your pardon.
Manager: Yes sir.
Kris Kingle: Could you tell me who's in charge here.
Manager and Martha Stewart: I am.
Manager: Everybody this is Kris Kringle. He'll be helping out today.
Kris Kingle: Oh, but I've made an appointment with Mr. Macy at 4 o'clock.
Marcus Samuelsson: Is there a Mr. Macy.
Taylor Swift: Not since before I was born.
Donald Trump: What's with the get-up Kringle.
Kris Kringle: I'm Santa Claus.
Donald Trump: Let me see for myself.
Kris Kringle: Go ahead, pull it.
Elf: See Tommy, I told you he was real.
Tommy Hilfiger: You also said that about the Easter Bunny.
Justin Bieber: Kris, can you please take me off the "naughty list". I'll do better. I promise.
Kris Kringle: Well young lady, what's your name.
Martha Stewart: It's Martha, and you didn't give me that pony I asked for last year.
Kris Kringle: I'm sorry Susie, I tried...
Martha Stewart: It's Martha.
Taylor Swift: Whoa!
Manager: Mr. Kringle, can I see your license please?
Announcer: Mail your letter to Santa at Macy's and we'll donate to make a wish. Together we'll collect a million reasons to believe
Kris Kringle: If I can win you over, there's still hope.
