Patrick was put in a mental hospital after being traumatized from witnessing his mother have an affair with Jackie Gleason. After Lois brought him home with her, Peter repeats the famous Jackie Gleason phrase from 'The Honeymooners', "Pow! Right in the kisser!" over and over making Patrick lose it.

Lois watches the game show 'The Price Is Right' while Peter is supposed to be at the Doctor's office, getting his physical.

After Lois finds her brother Patrick at the insane asylum, she wants to take him home with her. Stewie's reply to this idea is "Oh, that's a great idea. Maybe he can bring his Sling Blade and order some french fried potaters.", a reference to the movie 'Sling Blade'.

Peter is up in the middle of the night, arguing with a pie on the table. He tells the pie that he knows what it wants because he saw it in 'that move'. Peter then proceeds to call the pie derogatory names.

Stewie is in a tree house when everyone is going to look for Patrick and Peter. Stewie tells them to go away because he's busy reading Superfudge..

It is said that Patrick (Lois' brother) is more interesting with his imaginary wife, than the guys who invented singing. The scene then cuts away to a group of cavemen sitting around a fire grunting. The grunting turns into singing the song 'The Longest Time'.
