After returning home from the Teen Choice Awards on Meg's 18th birthday, Meg asks why there are so many cars parked on the street. Peter lets it slip that they are there for her surprise party. However, when the Griffins enter the front door, they see the house is empty. It turns out the cars are there because Mort is having a "Jewish Fight Club" where the first rule of Jewish Fight Club is that if someone says "Ow!", fight club is over.

Peter tells Lois that he isn't afraid to stand up to his friends, reminding her of Spartacus. The scene cuts to an animated version of Spartacus to the scene in which recaptured slaves are asked to identify Spartacus in exchange for leniency; instead, each slave proclaims himself to be Spartacus, thus sharing his fate. Peter points out which man is actually Spartacus.

The scene that shows a grandfather reading to his grandson is a parody of the film 'The Princess Bride'. The grandfather asks his grandson if he wants him to read him a story. The grandson tells him no, because they have computers now, so reading is obsolete.

Lois tells Peter not to push the issue of Meg dating Quagmire, making a reference to the film WarGames. Peter is surprised that Lois knows anything about WarGames.
