At the end of the episode, Moe is watching Krusty's show on TV in his bar, complaining that he is paying extra for this premium channel. Moe says that there hasn't been anything good on the premium channel since 'The Wire'. He then admits that he never really watched the series 'The Wire', but just pretended to watch.

Lily the badass walking around in her trench coat while "Farmer in the Dell" is whistled in the background is an homage to the character Omar Little from The Wire.
