The Oprah Winfrey Show (1986)

Cleveland wants to re-invent his show, after getting poor ratings, so he asks his friends for suggestions as to who is the most beloved person on television. Lester tells Cleveland that his wife Kendra got fused to the couch while watching an 'Oprah' marathon.

Nancy goes to set up her electric service, and presents the fake ID, indicating that she is Canadian, that Conrad had made for her. The woman behind the counter tells her she can't accept it. Nancy tells her she needs electricity by tomorrow, to which the electric employee makes a wisecrack about her not being able to miss one episode of Oprah.

Marcy tells Charlie that she came home early (to find that Charlie has turned their house into a movie production venue) to watch Oprah.

Virginia is upset that Mike, Burt's nephew, has taken over her private place in the kitchen. She tells Burt the blanket tent is the place she goes to chew her nicotine gum and scheme about ways to get on 'Oprah'.

George tries to quote Oprah, and Maya Angelou, when attempting to convince Tessa that they are being good by allowing Dallas and Dahlia to stay the night with them after Sheila's dolls were stolen. Tessa asks if he's been spending time watching Oprah. George replies that he's up a lot late at night - the time he catches Oprah on TV.

Hank tells Karen and Bill that if they keep arguing, he expects to see them on 'Oprah'.

After Frankie tells him he has control issues, Mike asks her, "When is Oprah finally going off the air again?".

Dexter mentions that Angel gets his philosophy on life from an Oprah re-run.

After running out of the bar following the fight, Liz says her heart is racing like when the last season of Oprah is on.

Tracy plays Oprah in one of the TGS skits.

Lesley claims to have contacted Oprah to promote their Harvest Festival, but then admits she *tried*. We then learn that she "put it out there" like in the book, "The Secret" which was heavily featured on Oprah's show.

Deb gives Dexter the advice of getting back to routine after Rita's death, telling him routine is like a ladder to help climb back to some kind of normalcy. She tells him she heard it on 'Oprah'.

Virginia yells at a man for texting and driving, asking him, "Don't you watch Oprah?" referring to Oprah's campaign to end texting and driving.

At the beginning of the episode, Michael asks Pam if she saw 'Oprah' yesterday. Pam says she did not, and asks him why. He tells her that Angelina Jolie was on, and now he wants to adopt a baby so he can be a father.

Frankie wants to watch Oprah, but can't get the TV to work, because Axel unplugged some cords in order to play video games.

The gang makes fun of Marshall for thinking that there is only one reason to have sex: love. He tells the group that they can make fun of him for being a girl, who just finished reading 'The Notebook' because it was one of Oprah's Book Club books.

Lily and Robin talk about Oprah's 2011 retirement from her long-running talk show. They both wonder what life will be like without Oprah.

Jeff accidentally stabs himself with the syringe containing Audrey's fertility hormone and is upset that he has 'lady juice' in him. Audtey asks if he's afraid that it will make him want to pluck his eyebrows and watch Oprah.

Ari finds Tom, Lloyd's recently ex-boyfriend, to talk him in to taking Lloyd back. Thinking the breakup was caused by Lloyd's busy work schedule, Ari asks Tom if he wants a man who will provide him a nice lifestyle, or one who sits on the couch at 4:00, watching 'Oprah'.

Cameron is trying to associate the word 'Adoption' with happy things for Lily. Mitchell assumes Cameron learned this technique from watching 'Oprah'.
