Back to the Future tells the story of Marty McFly, a teenager who is accidentally sent back in time from 1985 to 1955. The movie revolves around a brother and sister, Darry and Trish, returning home from college during a spring holiday break. Their journey is uneventful, and they spend the time talking about their parents and college life, until suddenly they are terrorized by someone in an old armored truck, and later see the driver unloading what looks like bodies into a hole as they drive past.

The plot revolves around the corporeal reanimation of deceased pets and humans in an abandoned Mi'kmaq burial ground outside the town of Ludlow, Maine. The Creed family moves into a new home and befriends their new neighbor, Jud Crandall, who tells them about a pet cemetery and the burial grounds nearby, leading to a series of horrifying events.

Brennan Huff (Ferrell) is a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen, Melvin and Howard). Dale Doback (Reilly) is a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins, Six Feet Under). When Robert and Nancy get married and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as stepbrothers. Their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness eventually tear the family apart--their parents eventually divorce due to Brennan and Dale's wild antics, specifically the destruction of Robert's sailboat while shooting a "music" video. Eventually, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys begin to grow-up and work to bring their parents back together.

Animal enthusiast Peter Gaulke (Zahn) and his sidekick Fred Wolf (Covert) host a program about wildlife called "Strange Wilderness," which is in a steep ratings decline. Desperate to save the show, Peter hatches a desparate scheme to find the one animal that could truly turn the show around and change the nature-show landscape forever - Bigfoot.[1]
