Watch as he speaks about his motivation. I'm the first one in my family to have ever achieved something so big. I'm actually the first one of my city to have ever made something this big. My name is Carlos Balderas. I'm an Olympic boxer at the lightweight division. I'm hoping to bring a gold medal. I started boxing because I was just headed down a very, very bad path at a young age. Me and my brother were always fighting in the streets, was fighting in school. We didn't really have a any guidance really, and one day my uncle just took us to the boxing gym. They thought that I was just there to stay off the streets or something. I know they didn't expect me to make it this far. I was living as a troublemaker, classless. I was labeled ghetto. When people look at immigrant or Latino as negative I'm sure they think about stuff like I gangs, but for me it reminds me of like a hard-working, quiet, humble person. The negative labels, I use it more like a motivation, you know, for me to prove them wrong, and i will just go to the gym with the mindset andjust work hard, and just to prove that you know I'm a hard-working guy. Boxing, kind of, you can stay in my life. I always thought Minis were cool because they were small and they were fast. If Mini was a boxer they would probably have to be in the smallest but, i have to be the fastest, and I'll probably wear these guys out, you know, and and the later around just finish them. You can never have too much muscle, and you can never be too tough. Watch as she speaks about her motivation. When I first started boxing and everybody was like, you know, what is she doing boxing? You're not going to be able to make career that. My name is Claressa Shields, 2012 Olympic gold medalists, and i'm going to Rio. I'm from Flint, Michigan and I grew up where people they don't have a lot of expectations of you. You know, she's too young to win an Olympic gold medal, or, you know, she's not pretty enough to be you know in a spot light. She's not she's not a good role model. And I deal with things like that just come from the media just because i was a boxer. I've been labeled ugly before. I been labelled too dark, too strong, too tough, too much muscle. You can never have too much muscle. You can never be too tough. You can't let people tell you what you can and can't do. Because i didn't. I would just use it as motivation to just prove them wrong all the time. Just to stay focused going to Rio, even though I'm going in as the reigning Olympic gold medalist I still have to keep the mindset that I'm the underdog. So right now I'm just working on perfecting my game, fixing my mistakes, and going in there and show 'em who's the boss. I want to go down in history as the best female fighter to ever live, and then I just wanna be known as a great role model. I want to inspire and make people that feel broken feel unbroken. I can roll in a Mini. I have to be honest, I thought that Mini was a little car at first. And you know me riding around in a Mini is like we're defying the odds together because people think that Mini is a small car, and I'm a big girl, so big girl inside when you know what they call a small car makes the car big. This commercial begins with a Mini Coupe speeding down a city street. It squeals around a corner and continues on. The narrator tells us that the man driving is the winner of their contest to tell the Mini company what their version of the best test drive ever would be in 6 words. The man driving is the winner, and we see him smiling while enjoying the drive. Unexpectedly, someone rises up from the passenger seat. She is dressed like an airline stewardess, and give the driver the customary-style speech one would get on an airplane just as the man reaches a gigantic ramp. They fly up into the air, and come down on the desert salt flats where a helicopter joins them and skydivers jump out of a plane and set up in a line when they land. The man drives between them like a human obstacle course. They continue on through the desert and fly through a "sushi restaurant" with mannequin customers. Even though they don't stop, they somehow pick up some sushi as they speed through, and the stewardess feeds the man with chopsticks while he continues driving. He speeds up to over 100 miles per hour, but comes to a stop where a stage is set up and the Swedish heavy metal band, "Falconer" is putting on a concert just for him. We learn that his six words were: Stewardess, Salt Flats, Paratroopers, Sushi, Falconer. "Mini Win" This commercial shows how small can be good, small can compete, and small can win. It begins with an older boy with a soccer ball. A little boy comes up and takes the ball from under the bigger kid's foot. Next we see David from the Bible picking up a stone to put in his sling to kill Goliath. A Mini is shown pulling up next to a Porsche at an intersection followed by an Ultimate Figher-style ring with two men in it - one big and one small. The small guy takes a flying leap at the big guy and knocks him out. Similarly, a small kid is shown playing basketball with a tall guy, and the smaller person is faster and can still get up and dunk over the taller player. When the music playing in the background starts getting faster, there is a montage of videos including a frog jumping, Popeye punching Brutus, cars jumping and racing through mud, a small animal attacking a bear, a cartoon man holding up a train car, women running track, ants carrying leaves, and a short goalie stealing the ball from another soccer player.
