This is a story of Max who runs around the house making mischief until his mother sends him to his room without supper. In his room, a forest and ocean form from his imagination and he is taken to a world where the Wild Things are. While fearsome monsters, Max becomes King of all the Wild Things, but soon finds himself homesick. He returns home to find his dinner waiting for him. While only ten sentences long, this book is considered a masterpiece in childrens literature.
