Description
In 1844, a professed prophet teaches his congregation a series of failed predictions of a pending celestial event. In the present, a military drone destroys the Jarden Visitors' Center where the Guilty Remnant members are encamped. Three years later, Kevin is the Chief of Police in Jarden and Tom is a police officer. Nora has returned to work as a DSD agent. Kevin receives a visit from Dean, a familiar face from Mapleton. The next morning, Kevin wraps his head in a plastic bag and begins to suffocate. Later, as Kevin leaves his house alive and well, he is contacted by Tom, who says that protesters have poisoned the water where Matt, now the town minister, was planning to baptize people. Kevin jumps into the water and, unharmed, declares the poisoning claim is a prank. Michael then "baptizes" Kevin. Dean ambushes Tom's and Kevin's squad car, and is about to kill Kevin when he himself is killed by Tom. Kevin discovers that Matt is writing a gospel about him, which he obtains. In rural Australia, a woman is seen collecting doves and delivering them to a nun. The nun asks the woman, whom she addresses as Sarah, if the name "Kevin" means anything to her. The woman, who resembles an older Nora, replies, "No."
