Darlene steals a gun, and has a conversation with Angela that implies they are longtime friends. Elliot and fsociety re-plan their attack but still need the Dark Army. Elliot meets Whiterose, a transgender woman obsessed with time, who says the Dark Army backed out because Gideon, suspicious of Elliot's story, turned E Corp's hacked server into a honeypot. With help from Darlene, Elliot shuts this down. Tyrell finds fsociety's .dat file after Gideon tells him of the honeypot and meets with Mr. Robot, and it appears that the two are working together. He reminds Mr. Robot that he knows his "dirty little secret" when Mr. Robot refuses to cooperate, which Mr. Robot shrugs off. When police question the Wellicks about Sharon's murder, Joanna secretly breaks her own water with a fork to distract them. Elliot tells Darlene of their plan's success, and an ecstatic Darlene tells him she loves him. He kisses Darlene, who is revolted. She asks if he "had forgotten again". Elliot realizes that Darlene is his sister, but he has no recollection of her. He finds a CD that contains old family photos - revealing that Mr. Robot is his father.

Hank awaits test results and reflects on his early days with Karen. Daisy plans to move out.

The team reopens a 1994 triple-murder case in which three young boys were beaten to death when the mother of one of the two teenagers convicted of the crime comes forward with evidence that they were innocent. Lilly sees the three victims riding their bikes past the house and one of them stops to thank her. Both the mother and friend of the wrongfully accused man who committed suicide see him as the friend is released from prison.

Ben confronts Jack, claiming that Naomi is not who she seems. Inside the Looking Glass, Charlie and Desmond try to shut off the blocking signal.

Nathan struggles with money problems and reluctantly asks Dan for help. Brooke learns the new man in her life is also her new English teacher. Peyton gets help from an unexpected source. Lucas returns to the Ravens just in time to help the team advance in the playoffs for the state championship. This episode is named after an American folk song covered by Nirvana.

Nate's funeral divides the family; David deals with being left in charge of the family business, Keith makes an embarrassing discovery on the job; Brenda is challenged by Nate, and makes a painful decision about what to do with Maya; Maggie gets a door shut in her face.

Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, also billed as Cobain: Montage of Heck, is a documentary film about Nirvana front man and '90s rock icon Kurt Cobain, which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. It has received a limited theatrical release worldwide and premiered on television in the United States on HBO on April 24, 2015. The film was directed by Brett Morgen. It chronicles the life of Kurt Cobain from his birth in Aberdeen, Washington in 1967, through his troubled early family life and teenage years and rise to fame as front man of Nirvana, up to his death in April 1994 in Seattle aged 27. The film includes artwork by Cobain as well as music and sound collages composed by him. Much of music and sound collages were released on the film's soundtrack, Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings. A companion book was also released containing animation stills from the film as well as transcripts of interviews, photographs, and Cobain's artwork that were not featured in the film.

Foo Fighters: Back and Forth is a 2011 rockumentary about Foo Fighters, directed by filmmaker James Moll. The film documents the band's history, and gets its title from a track on the Foo Fighters' seventh studio album Wasting Light. The film includes material taken from over 1,000 hours of historical and new footage, and interviews with the current members of Foo Fighters, former bandmembers William Goldsmith and Franz Stahl, and producer Butch Vig. Frontman Dave Grohl has said the main inspiration for the film was the decision to record Wasting Light in the garage of his mansion in Encino, California - "Personally, I thought it would be a good idea to now tell the story of the last 16 years, so it would make more sense to watch us make a record in a garage. After selling out fucking stadiums and becoming this big rock band, why would you make a garage record? To me the first hour and 20 minutes of the movie is leading up to that moment." He also added that while the band "always believed a little mystery is important to rock'n'roll", he considered it was time to tell their story, and referencing the Tom Petty documentary Runnin' Down a Dream, "If we wait any longer, we're going to wind up with a four-hour-long documentary".
