With his producers in line and Medellin preparing to enter pre-production, Vince chooses Billy Walsh as his director for the film. Meanwhile, the boys have to move out of the mansion, which leads to Drama getting his own condo and Eric moving in with Sloan.

Everybody hates the Christmas photo card that Joel obsesses over every year. But, when Ben is left out of the card, he gets really hurt that Joel invites Casey instead, so he and Maddie devise a revenge Christmas card. Meanwhile, Mia and Casey are finding it hard to say "no", so they ask Maddie and Ben to do the hard work for their future baby.

Phil and Claire are fearful when they find out that Luke has befriended their old neighbor, Mr. Kleezak. Jay tries to avoid sitting through a symphony concert with Gloria and Manny, but unfortunately is forced to hang out with Mitchell and Cameron on their "boys' night out", while Haley is babysitting Lily.

When Ryan fears his neighbor Spencer has been paying special attention to him lately, Wilfred, amidst talk of confrontation and dominance, confesses that he left Ryan’s wallet at Spencer’s house the night they broke into it. Ryan avoids a conflict when Spencer confronts him with the wallet, causing Spencer to want to hang out with Ryan, much to his dismay. Later, when a prank on Wilfred with a laser pointer causes the dog to attack their Indian neighbor, Ryan tries to bribe the animal control officer taking him to cut him loose, but he turns out to be Spencer's ex-best friend, Jesse. Wilfred is taken to be put down, and Ryan takes Spencer to the pound, leaving him to talk to Jesse. After Ryan gets the two men to mend fences, Jesse gives Wilfred back. Thinking its over, Ryan returns home, only to find Jesse and Spencer in his house making plans for the three of them. Ryan snaps and confesses to everything to Spencer, causing him to assault Ryan. Wilfred hits Spencer with a bone, knocking him unconscious, and Ryan, coached by Wilfred, gets Jesse to take Spencer out of Ryan's house, never to return. Wilfred sees the perfect opportunity to solve his own frustrating problems through the use of Ryan's awkward hermit lifestyle in order to avoid his tiresome interaction with a very annoying presence within the neighborhood. When Ted plans to move in with Robin, Barney steals Ted's moving truck. Marshall and Lily initially enjoy having the apartment to themselves, but soon learn that Ted kept everything together. Robin and Ted decide not to move in together after all, much to Marshall and Lily's joy.

Stanfield takes over as The Greeks' Baltimore distributor and is given a phone and a code to use to contact them. Stanfield gives the number to Levy and Herc steals it and passes it on to the police department. Freamon appeals to Daniels for a wiretap but is unsuccessful. McNulty leaks further details of his invented serial killer to the press and the story gains momentum. When Templeton stages a phone call from the serial killer McNulty uses it as probable cause for a wiretap. Freamon sets up on Stanfield's phone while the homicide unit believe they are manning another, disconnected, wiretap of the killer's phone. Dukie struggles with bullying and searches for a new path. Bubbles learns that he is HIV negative. State's Attorney Bond announces the Davis corruption case. Campbell convinces Davis to protect his fellow politicians and he embarks on a publicity campaign suggesting that his race has motivated the charges. Partlow sets up an ambush for Omar which he narrowly escapes by jumping from a balcony.

Mitchell and Cameron are looking to assign legal guardians for Lily in case anything were to happen to them, and are secretly assessing their family members. But no one is blowing their socks off, as they witness Jay giving Manny a dose of tough love, Claire secretly taking Luke to a child psychologist to assess his development, and Haley and Alex getting into some delinquent activities at school.

It's Christmas time, and Barney has told Ted that he plans on proposing to Patrice. Ted then must decide whether or not to tell Robin. Meanwhile, Lily and Marshall encounter a friend from college.

Donna tries to run for the school board, but her plans are thwarted when Cleveland accidentally kills a new friend playing a game. Meanwhile, Cleveland Jr. discovers that he is an excellent diver.

Peter ends up getting lost in the Quahog Mall overnight after his family abandons him. Meanwhile, Brian attempts to win over a girl by pretending to be a millionaire.

Jane convinces Brad to try and befriend a more sophisticated married couple. Max and Dave try to figure out why their stuff starts to disappear from their apartment, and Alex starts dating an artist.

The film follows a reporter, Bob Wilton, who stumbles into the story of a lifetime when he meets a special forces operator, Lyn Cassady. As they embark on a new mission, Lyn reveals his twenty-year involvement in this top secret, psychic military unit and shares details of their activities, each more bizarre than the last (including staring at goats in order to stop their hearts psychokinetically).
