Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny is a 2006 American musical comedy film about comedy rock duo Tenacious D. Written, produced by and starring Tenacious D members Jack Black and Kyle Gass, it is directed and co-written by musician and puppeteer Liam Lynch. Despite being about an actual band, the film is a fictitious story set in the 1990s about the band's origins, and their journey to find a pick belonging to Satan that allows its users to become rock legends.

Thirty years after an apocalyptic event, Eli travels on foot toward the west coast of the United States. Along the way he demonstrates atypical but effective survival and fighting skills, hunting strange wildlife and swiftly defeating a group of highway bandits who try to ambush him. Searching for a source of water he arrives in a ramshackle town which was built by and is overseen by Carnegie. Carnegie dreams of building more towns and hinges these hopes on finding a certain book. His henchmen scour the desolate landscape daily in search of it.

Farnsworth tries to prove the theory of evolution to one creationist orangutan Dr. Banjo by discovering and presenting the final missing link between ape and man, but is dismissed when Banjo becomes the curator of the museum where Farnsworth displays his archeological find. Farnsworth decides he would rather not live on Earth anymore and has his crew relocate him to a distant, lifeless asteroid, using nanobots to turn the toxic minerals present into a habitable landscape. In mere hours, however, the nanobots evolve into robotic trilobites and devour the Planet Express ship. While trying to survive over the next few days, the crew witnesses the trilobites evolve into mechanical dinosaurs, which are wiped out by a solar flare and allow robotic mammals to evolve into modern-day humanoids. The crew is discovered by a robot naturalist who brings the discovery of intelligent, carbon-based life forms to the attention of the robot society, but Farnsworth is put on trial when he reveals the creationist-like fact that he is the source of their society. By the time the court reaches a verdict the next day, the robots have evolved into energy-based life forms and abandon the issue altogether, deeming it beneath them. The crew returns to Earth using a ship made from robot dinosaur parts and, in the wake of Farnsworth being the catalyst of robot evolution, Farnsworth and Dr. Banjo reconcile their differing beliefs.

Vince joins an electro band called Kraftwork Orange, but after irritating keyboard player Johnny Two-Hats leaves the band, he calls on Howard to overcome the Spirit of Jazz and help him out. Guest starring Sue Denim and Dee Plume of Robots in Disguise.

Pam interviews for a job in Philadelphia, but her potential manager gives her deja vu. Dwight acquires the help of Angela in order to clean his elderly Aunt Shirley.

Sanjay's son Jay takes over the Kwik-E-Mart, but Apu is displeased when he turns it into a food market. Bart attempts to prank the new store despite that he told Homer he wouldn't prank anymore.

Brian becomes more submissive after attending obedience school, while Chris realizes that his new friend is using him to get close to Meg.

David and Keith go on a much needed vacation; Ruth has fun at the mall with Bettina; Claire breaks up with Phil.

The twenty-fifth annual Simpsons Halloween special includes parodies of Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange and The Others. In the segment spoofing The Others, the Simpsons are haunted by a family of ghosts that turns out to be their former selves from The Tracey Ullman Show.'School in Hell' inspired by the work of (British comic book author) Neil Gaiman.

Louie is tormented by nightmares involving a monstrous naked figure, a giant rabbit head, and his gibberish-spouting brother while dealing with issues in real life: Jane's strange medical issues and outcast status at school, Lily's attendance at a sleepover where the kids all watched the wildly age-inappropriate A Clockwork Orange, an annoying comedian (Jon Glaser) who loves his joke about beekeeping but can't even remember it accurately, and an encounter with the recently-divorced and very sad mom of Lily's friend. One of his comedian friends actually supplies some good advice, though, that leads Louie to take action and finally puts his mind at ease.
