This is the first film in the Indiana Jones franchise, and pits Indiana Jones against the Nazis, who search for the Ark of the Covenant, in an attempt to make their army invincible.

David hires Carla, a baby-proofer to make the house safer, but instead of creating a sense of security, it puts a wedge between him and Bryan causing them to bicker. Meanwhile, in the process of decorating the Christmas tree and getting into the holiday spirit, it is revealed that eggnog makes Jane an unusually nice person. Later, Bryan and Jane attend a Hollywood party at Los Angeles realtor to the stars Nancy Niles' house that will turn out to be the boost that Jane has been looking for

While the gang pairs off to build a terrarium, Chang relishes his imaginary role as a noir detective.

The episode features Peter Griffin when his wife Lois discovers that her mother is Jewish and struggles with her sudden heritage. Peter embraces Lois's new religion at first, but after a visit from his deceased father, he becomes anti-semitic.

Charlie wrangles Hank into a remake of Cruising with Robbie Mac. After agreeing to the film, Hank, Charlie, Robbie Mac, and former executive on Crazy Little Thing Called Love (and now studio head) Ali Andrews go out to a gay bar. Hank, while ordering a drink, sees Richard Bates (Jason Beghe) who is working as a bartender for research for his latest book. Bates tells Hank that he and Becca talk regularly about writing; this somewhat troubles Hank as Becca has never talked to him about writing. Robbie moves the party back to Charlie's house where Hank and Ali make good on their previous sexual tension. Robbie ends up trying to have sex with Charlie but, unfortunately, Charlie is unable to bring himself to perform oral sex on Robbie and ends up admitting that he is not gay. Robbie kisses him and fires him. A distraught Charlie then walks in on Hank and Ali and explains what has happened. In light of this, Ali tells them that the project is off and she promptly leaves. Meanwhile, Marcy becomes closer to Ophelia Roberts (Maggie Wheeler), a strong feminist and self-proclaimed man hater who is seemingly taken by the idea of swearing off men.

Dev runs into Ravi (Ravi Patel) at an audition and they discuss how the majority of roles they audition are for accented, stereotypical Indians. After auditioning for a sitcom called 3 Buddies. Dev accidentally receives an email thread from the producer saying they can cast only one Indian and includes a racist remark. The producer tries to apologize by treating Dev to a Knicks game and visiting a VIP area. Still upset, Dev begins to involve an Indian advocacy group. However, the producer dies and the replacement producer goes with a Perfect Strangers concept.

Sanjay's son Jay takes over the Kwik-E-Mart, but Apu is displeased when he turns it into a food market. Bart attempts to prank the new store despite that he told Homer he wouldn't prank anymore.

Hurley finds that some of Rousseau's documents contain the repeated numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42, the same numbers which Hurley had used to win a lottery jackpot. Hurley sets off on his own and finds Rousseau, who says that she does not know what the numbers mean: only that her party had originally been drawn to the island by a radio transmission that was broadcasting the numbers. The numbers are also revealed to be engraved on the side of the hatch. In flashbacks, Hurley wins the lottery, and over the coming weeks, everyone around him suffers increasingly bad luck. He then discovers that the man who'd given him the numbers originally got them from the same transmission.

After the death of Pierce's mother, the group comes together to help comfort him in his time of need. Professor June Bauer takes an unexpected leave of absence after a classroom prank that leaves Jeff in the hospital. Professor Duncan struggles to take over the anthropology class in her absence
