Boo and Nicky engage in a contest to see who can sleep with the most women in jail. Vee offers to help Poussey sell her hooch to other inmates. Poussey declines. Red starts a garden as a cover to move contraband into the prison herself. Larry and Polly begin to bond more as Polly's husband is away on business. While driving Rosa for cancer treatments, Lorna secretly breaks into the home of her love Christopher, taking a bath and nearly getting caught when he comes home. Flashbacks show Lorna's past as a scam artist and also reveal that Christopher was never her fiancee but a man she stalked after a single date, leaving threatening messages and trying to put a bomb in the car of his real girlfriend.

Though his colleagues disapprove, Richard Hendricks reluctantly agrees to take Monica's advice and let Hooli acquire Pied Piper. On the way to meeting with Gavin Belson, he is stopped by Russ Hanneman, a flashy billionaire who made his money by putting radio on the internet. Hanneman takes Richard to an expensive restaurant and offers him $5 million for Pied Piper. Monica tells Richard that Hooli is by far the safer option and that Hanneman is a terrible person, but Richard ignores her. Monica informs Bream of his decision, and Bream expresses disgust at the idea of being associated with Hanneman. With the knowledge that they are funded, Pied Piper begins creating a budget for the next 18 months, and negotiating how many new people they will hire. During the budget meeting, Hanneman visits Pied Piper and disrupts it by talking loudly on the phone and hanging out with his friend Cory. Erlich tries to befriend Hanneman but fails. Hanneman tells Pied Piper that revenue is a bad thing, explains that the check he gave them is just a "show check", and buys several Pied Piper billboards without asking. Meanwhile, Belson compares the treatment of billionaires to the suffering of Jews in the Holocaust during an interview, manages the backlash, and gets his lawyers to figure out how to improve his case for suing Pied Piper.

When Peter hits his head and suffers amnesia, he forgets everything, including his family and friends. Lois tries to bring back his memory, until Peter begins to hit on other women. Lois decides to take the kids and leave Peter, giving Quagmire the opportunity to score with Lois.

The gang get together to mark the first anniversary of Alex and Dave’s non-wedding. Penny buys and moves into a new apartment that she believes is cursed. At her new place, she throws a roaring 20s party.

When Cleveland and Donna attempt to celebrate their anniversary, their unruly kids and disruptive friends, including Donna's ex-husband, Robert, get in their way

Corporate assigns Michael to have counseling with Toby. Dwight vows revenge on a shop owner at the Steamtown Mall and Pam tries to change her job title.

The Belchers beg Bob to buy a food truck to compete against the ones that are stealing his customers. When the "Lolla-Pa-Foods-A-Festival" comes up, the Belchers bring the truck and the kids decide to cause mischief. Unfortunately, this causes a riot to rise from the other food truckers.

Frank decides he wants to marry his favorite crack-smoking hooker Roxy (Alanna Ubach), leading Dee to attempt to pull a "Pretty Woman" and clean her up. Mac has gained 50 pounds ("cultivating mass" in his words), which horrifies Dennis. Charlie pretends to be a millionaire in a scheme to get Frank a date.

Repercussions from the investigation land the Chance family in court to keep custody of Hope. Jason Lee, Jaime Pressly and Ethan Suplee make guest appearances.

At the hospital, Frank discovers that his transplant medication will produce a number of unwanted side effects, and he still can't drink alcohol. Fiona is tempted by a fellow inmate in prison. Ian and Mickey wake up in each other's arms, but Mickey finds Ian in a depressed state. Svetlana and Mickey come to an understanding about their child and how to raise him. Following a random drug test, Fiona is released from jail due to overcrowding and has a renewed probation. Fiona's probation officer secures her a job waiting tables and required to attend regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings. After a kind gesture by Carl, Bonnie worries that he may be falling in love with her. Sheila's petition to adopt the Native American children is denied and they are sent to live with their great-grandfather. Mickey's worries about Ian cause him to seek out the help of Debbie and Carl who recognize his symptoms. Following an initiation at Amanda's sorority, Lip and Mandy run into each other at a restaurant but she isn't pleased to see him, though Lip is clearly still concerned about her. With Fiona back in the house, Debbie and Carl are thrilled, but soon break the news about Ian. Fiona concludes that Ian is bipolar and suggests hospitalizing him, to which Mickey disagrees with saying that he will care for Ian. Sheila and Sami come to blows at the hospital, and everyone is distracted long enough for Carl to escape with Frank. The two eventually reconcile with Sammi's trailer occupying the vacant lot next to Sheila's house. Frank and Carl stop at the edge of lake Michigan and look off into the distance, with the two of them sharing a bottle of alcohol together. Later that night, a woman driving a Maserati and her male companion pull up outside the Gallagher household. The passenger is revealed to be Jimmy - using the alias 'Jack' - who is very much alive.

To fix Ted's jealousy over Robin, Barney sets him up with an escort for an awards banquet.

Led by State Attorney Richard Geldof and Katherine Davis, Velcoro and Bezzerides form a special investigation into Caspere's murder. Lamenting on the news of Caspere's death, Semyon wonders how he'll get out of his financial issues, as he discovers that the money he gave Caspere for the high-speed rail deal was embezzled and he has lost over $5 million - most of his fortune. Enraged, he begins to investigate Caspere's death in his own way. State investigators still want to push into the rumors of backdoor deals and corruption in Vinci, and recruit Woodrugh as a Special Investigator to gather evidence in exchange for quashing the Lindel solicitation scandal. Bezzerides is warned by her superiors that Velcoro is corrupt and to find a way to make him an informant, while Velcoro is asked by Austin Chessani, the mayor of Vinci, and his own superiors, Police Chief Holloway and Lieutenant Kevin Burris, that the investigation move where they want it. A fourth detective, Teague Dixon, is placed alongside them by the Vinci PD. An autopsy of Caspere's body shows that he was tortured for information and his genitals shot off with a shotgun before being placed at the rest stop. Drunk, Velcoro seeks time with his son and instead gets a cruel backlash from his ex-wife who now seeks full custody of their son and threatens a paternity test to force him away. After an enigmatic visit to his mother, Cynthia, Woodrugh gets into an argument with Emily, who thinks he is cheating, and he leaves her on bad terms. While driving with Velcoro and discussing the case, Bezzerides questions just how compromised he is, a question he leaves unanswered. At the bar, Semyon informs Velcoro about Caspere's secret second house, information which he obtained from a prostitute. As Velcoro enters the home searching for clues, a person in a raven mask appears and shoots him twice with a shotgun, once at point blank range.

Drew Thompson tells the Marshals he will refuse his deal for WITSEC unless he knows that Ellen May is safe. Meanwhile, Augustine tells Johnny that Theo Tonin, the Detroit mob boss, has heard from his informants that Drew won't enter protective custody to testify against Tonin unless Ellen May is safe. The Detroit mobsters figure they can use Ellen May to deter Drew from testifying. Augustine gets Johnny to help retrieve Ellen May. Johnny calls Limehouse, but Limehouse refuses to cooperate. Augustine then offers to give Boyd $300,000 to buy back Ellen May since Johnny can't get it done. In exchange for Ellen May, Augustine will hand over Johnny, who betrayed Boyd. Raylan, Rachel, and Tim head to Limehouse's holler where Limehouse denies Ellen May is on the property, but dares them to search. Ava, who snuck in through a back entrance, offers the $300,000 to Limehouse, but he tells Ava he released Ellen May. Instead of taking money for Ellen May, Limehouse determines it is in his best interest to let Ellen May go (instead of taking money) to avoid extra heat from the Marshals, maintain his reputation as a protector of women in trouble, and also to avoid potential armed confrontation with Boyd and the Detroit mobsters. Ava and Colt head to the church from separate origination points, while Boyd, Augustine, and Picker head to Nicky Cush's house to find Ellen May. Cush confesses Ellen May is at the church after Boyd shoots him in the foot and presses against the wound. At the church, Ava gets there first and overhears Ellen May confessing Delroy's murder to Cassie, as well as her participation in the disposal of his body. Ava finds herself unable to kill Ellen May, so Boyd instead instructs Colt to do the deed. Tim arrives at the church just as Colt prepares to kill Ellen May. The two have a stand off and Tim guns Colt down in self-defense after Colt raises his gun. Raylan arrives and takes Ellen May into custody, where she is reunited with Drew at the Marshals' office. Boyd and Ava decide their last play is to move and hide Delroy's body to avoid incrimination now that Ellen May is in custody. Later, a delivery man sets up a rocking chair for Winona, Raylan's wife. The last shot of the episode is of the delivery man, who turns out to be Picker, one of Augustine's henchmen.
