The Adventures of Pinocchio is a book about the mischievous adventures of Pinocchio, an animated marionette, and his poor father, a woodcarver named Geppetto.

After their vacation in the woods is cut short due to a mosquito infestation, The Simpsons stop by at an Indian casino, where Bart tries to sneak in and ends up in the office of an Indian mystic who shows Bart's future in the year 2030 as a washed-up rock star living with Ralph Wiggum while Lisa is the President of the United States trying to get the country out of financial trouble.

On Valentine's Day 1962, Don and Duck find themselves at odds over an account. Betty reconnects with a friend and once again finds herself struggling with car trouble.

Bart and Lisa convince their parents to take their family vacation at the newly opened Itchy & Scratchy Land. After experiencing several of the violent attractions, Homer and Marge go to "Parents Island", while Bart and Lisa continue to explore the park. The vacation seems to be going well, until Bart and Homer are both apprehended by the park security for assaulting a staff member dressed in an Itchy suit. Professor Frink realizes that all of the park's Itchy & Scratchy robots will turn on their masters; an event which proves true as a horde of Itchy and Scratchy robots advance on the Simpsons. Homer throws everything he can at them, before discovering that a camera's flash destroys the robots. The family take more cameras from a gift shop and defeat the Itchy & Scratchy army. Roger Meyers, Jr. thanks them, and the Simpsons agree that it was actually their best vacation ever.

Carrie and Doug decide it's time to start trying for a baby. They both go to the doctor to get checked out, and discover that Carrie has only one functioning ovary. That means that she only ovulates once every three months, and it just so happens that her next opportune time to get pregant is the same time that Doug's parents are in town, visiting for the holidays.

Peter makes his friends throw him a roast, but when he feels humiliated by the jokes, he decides to find new friends. He makes friends with a group of gossiping women, who offend Lois behind her back.

Problems surface on the set of a commercial shoot while Don plays hooky from the office; ever-ambitious, career-minded Harry musters support for a sponsorship plagued by controversy; Betty steps in to help Don when he arranges a dinner to placate his upset clients.

Mr. Burns replaces all of Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's employees (except Homer) with robots, but the robots soon turn on the people of Springfield. Guest star: Brent Spiner

A magical log falls off a wagon and rolls through a medieval Italian town causing considerable damage and some injuries. It comes to rest in front of the house of Geppetto, a poor wood carver, who carves a puppet, Pinocchio, from it. To Geppetto's surprise the puppet comes to life and to his dismay, it becomes very mischievous. Geppetto sells his only coat to provide schoolbooks for Pinocchio; however, the rambunctious puppet goes on several adventures, dreading school. He joins a puppet theater and is almost eaten by the gigantic puppet master. Pinocchio lies to get out of the situation, claiming misery and poverty in his family, and the puppet master gives him five gold coins. He then meets Fox and Cat who gyp him out of his money. The watchful Blue Fairy, who encourages him to give up his obnoxious ways, saves him from hanging. In jail, he meets Leonardo, another truant thief. Out of jail, he joins Leonardo in a trip to FunForeverLand where all is play and no work or school. There, boys turn into donkeys who are sold for hard labor. Pinocchio escapes and later finds Leonardo dying. Trying to find his father, he's swallowed by a whale (that looks a lot like a gigantic shark) and together they escape. Pinocchio suddenly reforms and becomes a real boy.

Close Encounters tells the story of Roy Neary, an Indiana electrical lineman, and his encounter and obsessions with unidentified flying objects. The plot further develops due to the presence of the United States government and their scientific researchers.

Shrek, a solitary ogre, finds a surprise when fairy tale creatures are sent to live in his swamp by the evil Lord Farquaad. Shrek befriends a talking Donkey, and the two set off to meet with Lord Farquaad. Lord Farquaad needs Princess Fiona to marry him so that he will become king. So when Shrek and Donkey visit him, they are forced to rescue her from an enormous fire-breathing dragon. The Dragon turns out to be a girl and she falls in love with Donkey. However Donkey escapes and Dragon chases them. Once Shrek and Donkey rescue Fiona they take her back to Lord Farquaad. However, along the way, Shrek falls in love with Fiona. Fiona reveals she is cursed and turns into an ogress at night. The only way the curse can be broken is by true love's first kiss. Fiona and Farquaad have a marriage ceremony; however they are interrupted by Shrek who tells Fiona he loves her. Shrek and Fiona kiss and Fiona turns into an ogress permanently. Shrek gets his swamp back, and the two marry there. After a karaoke party the two set off on their honeymoon. The film is set in a fairytale world, with appearances from commonly known fairytale characters.
