The Little Mermaid

"The Little Mermaid" (Danish: Den lille havfrue) is a fairy tale by the Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen about a young mermaid willing to give up her life in the sea and her identity as a merperson to gain a human soul and the love of a human prince.

The second film opens with Prince Charming on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona from the Dragon. When he gets there he finds the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs in Fiona’s bed. He asks where Fiona is and the wolf tells him she is on her honeymoon with Shrek. Once Shrek and Fiona return from their honeymoon, they find Donkey in the swamp who tells them he and Dragon are going through a rough patch. They then get invited to the land of Far Far Away by Fiona’s parents who want to bless their marriage. When they arrive Shrek and Fiona aren’t what they expected. The evil Prince Charming and his mother, the Fairy Godmother, are trying to break up Shrek’s marriage by making Fiona fall in love with Prince Charming. However it doesn’t work and Shrek and Fiona stay together. Shrek and Donkey get a new sidekick called Puss in Boots. They have a lengthy quest to search the Fairy Godmother's cottage to get a love potion. At the end of the movie, King Harold turns into a frog.

Marty and the Pod are sent to Phoenix to clean up a mess at a very powerful sports franchise, caused by the owners' impending divorce. Their marriage crisis can't be fixed, but they solve the team's problems by having the owners act reconciled. Once there, Jeannie takes a dinner meeting with Derek, an old flame; but she is deflated when she finds out that his real intentions regarding her are to offer her a new job because he's a headhunter. On the home front, Marty continues his personal war with Principal Gita over Roscoe's cross-dressing. His son is not given the female lead role in the school play but still joins, while he himself has sex with that girl's mother in a van.

Ben wants to have his name posted on a shamrock on the wall of his favorite bar, but is disappointed to learn that it may not happen because the bar is owned by the New York Yankee Nick Swisher. Making Ben hope that he doesn't remember the time he dropped a blanket on him while he was trying to catch a fly ball during a baseball game. Meanwhile, Mia and Maddie try to avoid accompanying Vicky to a charity event.

It's Halloween and the office plans a "Haunted House" for the children in the community. And at an important business meeting, Michael falls into a koi pond. Meanwhile, Pam and Andy go cold calling to drum up more sales.

In order to get a promotion at work, Stan has to convince the dictator of Isla Island to sign a treaty. Stan meets the general and accidentally kills him and has Roger pose as the leader of the small island nation. Meanwhile, Steve and Snot compete for the sexual advances of each other's mothers.

Adam struggles to come to terms with Haddie's sexuality, while Amber loses control of her life's direction.

Dozens of CERT officers in riot gear break down the prison doors, with smoke bombs, stun guns and batons in hand, causing pandemonium as they handcuff all the prisoners.The CERT officers discover the dead Humphrey, and escalate their tactics to "by any means necessary." Black Cindy and Taystee panic as Suzanne is unconscious from the lithium. They eventually get help from Nicky, who takes them down to Frieda's hiding place and they inject her with the only thing they can find, an epi-pen, which finally revives her. Angie and Leanne burn all the prison records to erase their history of infractions. Deciding not to go down without a fight, Ouija, Pidge and the white supremacists barricade themselves inside a dorm and manage to injure some of the CERT officers with booby traps before being restrained. The prisoners are led outside in handcuffs in front of a crowd of family and media. Maritza and Flaca are thrilled to see rabid fans of their YouTube beauty tutorials cheering for them. Linda tries to tell an officer she is from MCC, but she is ignored after Big Boo and others mock her by also claiming the same thing. A count of the prisoners leaves them 10 short, and Caputo tells them about the old pool that Figueroa never got filled. The CERT chief says the fact they are hiding "strategically" means they are planning an offensive against the officers, and that the governor has already approved any casualties necessary. Pennsatucky and Charlie watch TV together inside his cabin. Nicky brings Taystee, Black Cindy and Suzanne to the bunker, where Taystee is shocked to see Piscatella tied up. She takes Frieda's gun and points it at him, telling him he is to blame for Poussey's death. Instead of killing him, she breaks down crying. Red, surprisingly, releases Piscatella and tells him to leave without touching anyone. Piscatella slowly walks out into the hall only to be shot and killed by an inexperienced CERT officer, who did not recognize him through the smokebombs. As night falls, the prisoners outside are loaded onto buses and told they are all headed to new prisons; Flaca and Maritza are separated. In the bunker, the remaining prisoners-Alex, Piper, Taystee, Nicky, Red, Black Cindy, Frieda, Suzanne, Blanca, and Gloria-link arms as the CERT blows the doors off.

The prisoners mourn one of their own and even a drunken Pornstache reveals surprising emotions; Larry gives a revealing radio interview.

The Little Mermaid is a stage musical produced by Disney Theatrical, based on the animated 1989 Disney film of the same name and the classic story of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. The musical's book is by Doug Wright, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman (written for the film) and new lyrics by Glenn Slater. The musical had a pre-Broadway tryout in Denver, Colorado in September 2007, with Broadway previews beginning in November 2007 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, previously the home of Disney Theatrical's Beauty and the Beast, which closed in July 2007 to make way for the new production. The Little Mermaid opened on January 10, 2008.
