With Dean Pelton planning a "Sadie Hawkins" dance, Britta organizes a competing "Sophie B. Hawkins" dance in protest, confusing her with Susan B. Anthony. Meanwhile, Annie and Shirley set up Abed with two dates for the dance.

Barney and his father, Jerry Whitiker, meet for the first time as father and son. The rest of the gang are struggling with certain issues - each has a "gap in knowledge".

Life's A Glitch, Then You Die - When the Y2K bug causes everything electronic and computer generated in the world to go haywire, the family searches for a way out.

This commercial features the Star Wars characters Yoda and Darth Maul with huge bobble heads. Darth Maul tries to attack Yoda, but his two-sided lightsaber keeps malfunctioning. It shoots out sparks, flags that say "Bang", items from a Swiss Army Knife (Spoon, magnifying glass, can opener, spork, corkscrew), and confetti. He falls over twice - once into a janitor's closet, and another time into a Brisk vending machine. He soaks up all the spilled Brisk iced tea and when he gets up, he is finally able to get his light sabers to work, but Yoda lifts the vending machine and drops it on him. Yoda: Darth Maul, not yourself you look. Darth Maul: Aww, super late nights being bad, and evil, and anyway... taste the force! I'm okay. Now you die! Yoda: Wrong button. Nope.
