The Mummy's Ghost

An Ancient Egyptian priest called Imhotep is revived when an archaeological expedition finds Imhotep's mummy and one of the archaeologists accidentally reads an ancient life-giving spell. Imhotep escapes from the archaeologists, taking the Scroll of Thoth, and prowls Cairo seeking the reincarnation of the soul of his ancient lover, Princess Ankh-es-en-amon. Imhotep finds two archaeologists, claims that his name is Ardath Bey, a modern Egyptian, and shows them where to dig to find Ankh-es-en-amon's tomb. The archaeologists find the tomb and give the mummy and the treasures to the Cairo Museum. The archaeologists thank Imhotep for giving them the information of where to find the tomb. Imhotep was once mummified alive for attempting to resurrect her, and, upon finding a woman bearing a striking resemblance to her, attempts to mummify her and make her his bride. In the end, she is saved when she remembers her past life and prays to the goddess Isis to save her. The young woman utters a prayer and the scroll containing the resurrection spell is burned, and Imhotep dissolved.

The Mummy's Hand tells the story of a down-on-his-luck archaeologist and his friend that are attempting to leave Cairo and return to New York. While at a street market, the archaeologist buys an old broken vase that may hold the mystery of the location of the ancient Egyptian princess Ananka's tomb. After receiving funding from an eccentric magician, the Great Solvani, and his daughter, they set out into the desert only to be abandoned by their workers once a tomb is found. To make matters worse, the group is terrorized by a sinister high priest and the living mummy Kharis who are the guardians of Ananka's tomb.

The film begins with a long recap of what happened in The Mummy's Hand as told by Stephen Banning, the hero of the first film now an old man. The film features many scenes from the last "mummy" film to tell the story. After the recap Banning, the man who found the Ananka tomb 30 years before, is killed in his own house in New England by the mummy after a high priest has vowed revenge on the men who entered the tomb years before. Banning's old partner, 'Babe' Hanson, is also targeted. As the Banning family is killed off one by one, the high priest decides to take a young woman as his bride instead of killing her. He orders the mummy to kidnap the woman. Angry villagers, led by Banning's son, hunt down the monster and again burn it to death.
