Aliens is set fifty-seven years after the first film. Ellen Ripley returns to the planet LV-426 where she first encountered the hostile Alien. This time she is accompanied by a unit of Colonial Marines.

Set 200 years after the preceding installment, Alien 3, Ellen Ripley is cloned and an Alien queen is surgically removed from her body. The United Systems Military hopes to breed Aliens to study and research on the spaceship USM Auriga, using human hosts kidnapped and delivered to them by a group of mercenaries. The Aliens escape their enclosures, while Ripley and the mercenaries attempt to escape and destroy the Auriga before it reaches its destination, Earth.

Set in 2004, Alien vs. Predator follows a group of paleontologists, archaeologists, and others assembled by billionaire Charles Bishop Weyland for an expedition near the Antarctic after discovering a mysterious heat signal. Hoping to claim the find for himself, Weyland and the group discover a pyramid below the surface of a whaling station. Hieroglyphics and sculptures reveal that the pyramid is a hunting ground for Predators who kill Aliens as a rite of passage. The humans are caught in the middle of a battle between the two species and attempt to prevent the Aliens from reaching the surface.

Following clues to the origin of mankind, a team find a structure on a distant moon, but they soon find they are not alone.

After young Sean Hamill (Daniel Manche) is stabbed in the back at the schoolyard, detectives are led to Charlie Monaghan (Sasha Neulinger), the older boy who had previously gotten into trouble over Hamill, but it isn't long before their attention turns to Monaghan's half-sister, Emma Boyd (Raquel Castro). Hamill had been torturing the little girl for months because she had two mothers. After getting a nice deal for Emma's side, Benson and Stabler are thrown for a loop when Emma's biological grandparents accuse Zoe Dunlop (Amy Pietz), who had never legally adopted Emma, of sexually molesting the little girl, and evidence seems to support their claims. When Olivia questions her with Huang in the room, he believes that she wasn't molested, and it turns out the grandparents got her to lie about it. The grandparents are charged and during their trial, the grandmother reveals that their lawyer (Stephen Bogardus) actually put them up to it as he showed them what Novak reveals are discredited statistics that horrified them. The judge calls a mistrial, and Novak offers a plea to the grandparents later in exchange for them testifying against their lawyer. After she provides evidence of his trickery, they agree, but Zoe decides to bar them from seeing Emma again.

When an office building collapses, House has to work fast to diagnose a young woman, Megan, who has managed to survive the disaster. Without a team, House talks through his ideas with a janitor at Princeton-Plainsboro. As House persists in diagnosing Megan by himself, he soon realizes the case is not what it appears to be and that solitude may not be the answer.

Bob's time alone and introduction to the group is explored in a flashback. Maggie, Bob, and Sasha comes across a map to Terminus. Maggie believes Glenn would go looking for her there, but Sasha is against the idea, not wanting to face the possibility that Tyreese could be dead. Maggie abandons Bob and Sasha in the middle of the night and heads for Terminus alone. Bob and Sasha try to follow until Sasha decides she wants to give up and settle in an abandoned town. Bob kisses her hoping to change her mind, but it doesn't work and he moves on. While settling in an abandoned building, Sasha stumbles upon Maggie and accidentally awakens a large group of walkers. After killing them off, Maggie tells Sasha she was waiting for Sasha and Bob because she realizes she can't make the trip to Terminus alone and needs them. Daryl and Beth grow emotionally closer and relax in a recently inhabited mortuary. Daryl finds food and walkers dressed with funerary makeup while Beth plays music. The funeral home is invaded by walkers, and Daryl tells Beth to run while he covers her retreat. After barely escaping, Daryl is distraught to find Beth's bag lying on the ground and sees a car leaving. Daryl pursues the car on foot until exhausted and sits down in the middle of the road until he is surrounded and confronted by the same armed men Rick previously eluded. After a tense standoff with the group's leader, they all lower their weapons. Maggie and Sasha finally catch up to Bob and proceed to Terminus together. Elsewhere, Glenn discovers the signs leading to Terminus.
