After attending a funeral for a comedy club manager, where only Louie and Robin Williams attend, they later meet up and discuss how horrible a person he was. They then visit a local strip club that the manager had often tried to get people to go to with him and find some people who are devastated to learn of his death. Jay Oakerson appears as the house emcee. In the second segment, Louie is forced to look after his mentally challenged school-parent acquaintance Nancy's creepy son, Never. While doing so, he also goes on a radio show via phone to help boost ticket sales for a comedy show he is doing in Kansas City. Gregg "Opie" Hughes, Anthony Cumia, Jim Norton and Amy Schumer guest star as the Kansas City radio hosts. Other guest stars include Artie Lange as a gasoline truck driver and J. B. Smoove as a gravedigger in the end credits.

Four months after the first season finale, Ryan is in a mental institution, and has been for the past four months. He hasn't seen Jenna or Wilfred in that time, but, after talking with his therapist (Robin Williams), the two visit Wilfred, whom Ryan still sees as a man; Ryan also learns that Jenna and Drew have broken up. After a couple of visits, in which a wheelchair-bound Wilfred (handicapped due to his accident in the first season finale) and Ryan talk about why Ryan sees Wilfred as a man, Ryan's therapist ups his dosage of pills, and eventually tries to give Ryan electroshock therapy. Wilfred, in the disguise of a man (Brian Baumgartner), and Bear break Ryan out of the mental institution, only for Ryan to realize that the entire mental institution, and the events of the episode so far, are a daydream. Ryan actually has a new, boring corporate job, and the hallucinations he had been having periodically throughout the episode of sitting at a table with co-workers (Steven Weber, Rob Riggle, Allison Mack) and holding a tennis ball are actually his real-life job. Ryan gets up from the table and goes home, where he sees Jenna and Drew embracing, assumed to be still dating, outside of his house. Inside, Ryan goes to the closet, breaks through the wall, and finds the basement where he and Wilfred had hung out during the first season, but everything is boarded up and dusty. He finds Wilfred's will, a task he had been asked to do in the first season finale, which only says one sentence: "Keep digging," a metaphoric piece of advice to Ryan. Ryan then proceeds to clean up the basement, even getting out his bong and putting it on the table, hinting that he will continue to hang out with Wilfred. A young boy walks downstairs on Christmas Eve to sneak a peek at the gifts left under the tree. When he peeks inside a box, a remote control falls to the floor. The boy picks it up, pushes a few buttons at the top of the biggest wrapped box flips open and Robin Williams appears, surprising the young boy. Robin Williams looks at the boy and smiles. The little boy uses the remote to move Robin around the living room. The two play all night, acting out different scenes from films. Finally morning arrives and the boy's father comes downstairs to find his son fast asleep on the floor. Inside a wrapped gift is a television remote control for Sky Cinema HD. The commercial begins with a football team, the Hawks, in a huddle, asking their coach what they should do. Their coach, Robin Williams, is a little loopy, making some strange suggestions to his team. The assistant coach leans in and suggests that the coach eat a Snickers, because he gets a little loopy when he's hungry. The coach eats a Snickers, and returns to his normal self, telling the team to get out on the field and get it done. As the team runs back to the field, the cheerleaders have formed a pyramid, cheering for the football players. The cheerleader on top of the pyramid, Bobcat Goldthwait, falls to the ground, landing on his face. Clearly, this cheerleader is in need of a Snickers to satisfy the hunger. 4th down, coach. What do we do? I'll tell you what we do. I want you to go on the field, look for anything with an "O". Let's kill them! With kindness. Jimmy! I want you to make balloon animals.
