Claire is a tough gang member that has to find the Boss' mistress, Kitty, who ran away from him. She is accompanied by Boss' trigger-happy son Jimmy. Claire's colleague gangster Nick is terminally ill and cancer starts to take over him. In 2014 Sophie develops appendicitis and Gettrick blackmails Stone and Reed into helping. Gettrick kills Reed and releases Sophie to seek medical help, instructing her to pose as Alice. In 2016 Baptiste and the Websters search Gettrick's house and deduce he has left for Vaaren, Switzerland. Baptiste, the Websters and the police close in on Gettrick who shoots Sam. Gettrick admits that he had placed Lena's body in the burning shed. Sam does not survive. Sophie is reunited with her father, who meets his grand-daughter for the first time. Eve confronts her father over the events in Iraq, but his dementia would seem to prevent him from understanding. Baptiste undergoes brain surgery.
