Scott Turner, an obsessively neat police detective, acquires Hooch, a large and slobbery French Mastiff, after the murder of Amos Reed, a local junk yard owner. However, Turner pleads with the police chief to let him take on the Reed murder case. Believing that Hooch is the only witness he has to the Reed murder, Turner brings him home. The energetic dog promptly destroys Turner's house, his car, and turns his life upside-down. On a positive note, however, Hooch also instigates a romance between Turner and the town veterinarian. Eventually Turner, with the help of Hooch, uncovers a money laundering operation led by the police chief, and Hooch gives his life to save his master. The police chief is also killed. In the end, Turner becomes Police Chief, and Sutton does indeed take Turner's former position. On the home front, Turner and the vet are married and expecting a child. In addition, the vet's collie has given birth to half a dozen puppies, including one that looks and behaves uncannily similar to Hooch.

"The Handlebar Moustache" This commercial shows a regular guy who happens to have a thick, curly, handlebar mustache. He likes it, but people on the bus stare at him. Francis "Frank" Underwood is an ambitious Democratic congressman and the House Majority Whip. Underwood helped ensure the election of President Garrett Walker, who promised to appoint Underwood as Secretary of State. However, before Walker is sworn in, Chief of Staff Linda Vasquez announces that the president will not honor the agreement and will instead nominate Senator Michael Kern. Linda tells Frank that they want him to continue helping their administration from within the House of Representatives, starting with working on an education reform bill with Representative Donald Blythe. Furious at Walker's betrayal, Underwood and his wife Claire, an environmental activist, make a pact to destroy Kern. Underwood begins seeking out pawns in his war against Walker. When the troubled Rep. Peter Russo is arrested for drunk driving, Underwood offers him a reprieve in exchange for his loyalty. Underwood also encounters Zoe Barnes, a young political reporter for the Washington Herald newspaper; the two come to an agreement where Underwood will give Barnes inside information, starting with a copy of the first draft of Blythe's education bill.
