"Jeep® "Whole Again" OFFICIAL COMMERCIAL" Super Bowl XVII commercial, February 3, 2013. This commercial for Jeep and the USO begins with a black screen and white letters showing a quote from Oprah Winfrey. A woman sits at a basketball game, with an empty chair next to her, as she watches her child play ball. A woman in a house turns on a lamp, brightening the room. Porch lights are left on. A family is seated at the kitchen table, as a mom brings a casserole dish from the oven to the table. A bed is made. Two kids sit on the floor, leaning up against a bed, looking sad, missing their parent. A dog lies on the rug in front of the door, putting its head down between its paws. Waiting. An empty playground swing, sways gently in the breeze. A woman gives her little girls a bubble bath. A man helps his young child ride a bike, giving the bike a push down the sidewalk. Kids in school, in classrooms, in the library. A woman lies in bed next to her sleeping child, stroking his hair as he sleeps. A picture of a soldier is shown in a frame. A dad helps his daughter get dressed. A woman sits at her kitchen table, wiping tears from her eyes, as her young toddler sits in his high chair. A little boy kneels by his bed, saying prayers. A soldier looks at his dog tags, with a photo of his family on the back side of the tags, riding in the back of a Jeep that is taking him home to his family. A small child runs along a sidewalk, touching the line of American flags that are decorating the grass. A female soldier, riding in a Jeep, looks out the window to see a crowd cheering, holding signs of support and thanks. Troops emerge from an airplane, as their friends and families wait to see them, to hug them. A woman runs to embrace her returning soldier. A little girl runs toward her father, who has just stepped off an airplane. Mothers returning home hug their children. A man hugs his son, just returning home. Flags are waved. Families are together. There will be a seat left open. A light left on. A favorite dinner waiting. A warm bed made. There will be walks to take, swings to push and baths to give. On your block, at the school, in your church, because in your home, in our hearts, you've been missed. You've been needed. You've been cried for. Prayed for. You've been the reason we push on. Half the battle is just knowing this is half the battle. Because when you're home, we're more than a family. We are a nation that is whole again. "We wait. We hope. We pray. Until you're home again."
