Take a look behind the scenes of our new John Lewis Premier Home Insurance TV advert "John Lewis: Behind the Scenes of our 2015 Home Insurance Advert" My name is Bunny May and I am 8. And in there they have built a whole house and at the moment we are doing a rehearsal. There's an awful lot of charm, as you would expect from John Lewis in this script. It's, you know, an adorable little girl, in her house, hearing a piece of music and just dancing her heart out. Bunny was a great find. We saw a lot of girls, we did a lot of recalls. But with Bunny, you can see she's focused and she loves to do it. But she naturally would wobble here, wobble there, and that's exactly what we wanted. Well, today is the first day of the actual thing and I've met my pretend dad and he's cool. And I met my pretend brother and we're still deciding on the costume. It's quite easy to fall into serious territory, and you know, things that are special to people and sentimental and things like that. But we wanted to kind of have more of a funny edge to it. And we were thinking about what we were like when we were kids and my dad was always telling me ? breaking the TV and knocking lamps and things like that. And so we kind of came up with the idea of the Tiny Dancer. Dougal is perfect for this because not only has he done an awful lot of John Lewis retail ads before, I have never met a director who has more attention to detail than Dougal. So for us, it's a perfect combination, he's the perfect director for this. I mean, there's lots of things I enjoy about the whole ad. I think the brother is absolutely hilarious. And what's been the hardest thing about the shoot? Well, turning. Set. Richard Lewis ad. That's the hardest bit, because my legs would be tired. Dougal wanted ? element to the advert, so I was on hand to try and help Bunny get from one mishap to another. And I just wanted to make sure that I didn't take away the freedom from with she did everything. Yeah, she's cool 'cause she's with the Royal Ballet and she's a great ballet dancer and she can really help me with me ? sometimes. So, I'd like to say thank you to her. We actually almost want to liberate you to live your life, to let family life happen. And you can do that being really sure that you're covered if anything happened. I think it's got a perfect balance between almost like, spoofy professional dance and you know, references you see on lots of films like Flashdance and Dirty Dancing and things like that. But at the same time, she's still very much a kid and very much doing it her own way. And she's not quite perfect ,but I think that's the magic of it. And I think we've got a fantastic campaign thought, which is actually the reason why we're in insurance in the first place is , if it matters to you, actually, it matters to the John Lewis brand as well. Ladies and gentlemen, a huge round of applause for Bunny. That was really, really fun. That's what I would like to say.
