Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

As Tommy prepares to commit the most audacious crime of his career, an unexpected blow forces him to face his worst fears in a race against time.

The Year is 1924. Tommy Shelby has finally set to marry; to none other than Grace Burgess. The wedding goes off without a hitch; but Tommy warns his gang not to invoke any fighting during the reception party, which is being held at a stately home in Liverpool - and which Grace's relatives will be attending. Meanwhile, Tommy is angered to discover that a Russian oligarch, with whom he had been brokering a deal on behalf of Winston Churchill, has gatecrashed his party intending to get the ball rolling. Having agreed to steal arms and munitions to sell to the Russian Army, Tommy is told that a courier carrying the $10,000 he has been paid for the deal will be arriving later that night. However, Tommy is concerned when the oligarch fails to use the correct code name for the operation, and on the orders of Churchill, who said 'anyone who uses the wrong code name is a traitor', asks Arthur to execute him. Tommy meets with the courier and collects the money; and Arthur executes the oligarch, while out in the grounds of the wedding reception, Tommy and Grace's relatives have finally come to blows. The oligarch's body is burnt to ashes and his bones and rings buried. Back in Birmingham, Tommy pockets the money from the courier and confirms with Polly that the robbery is going to go ahead.

After joining London crime boss Alfie Solomons in a business venture, Tommy worries that Alfie's newly revealed volatility could pose a problem.

Thomas deals with an IRA chief bent on avenging his cousin's death. Grace must decide whether her loyalties lie with Campbell or Thomas.

Thomas schemes to get closer to Billy Kimber at the Cheltenham races, and considers an offer from IRA sympathizers to buy his stolen guns.

Thomas provokes a local kingpin by fixing a horse race and starts a war with a gypsy family. Inspector Campbell carries out a vicious raid.

Ambitious gang leader Thomas Shelby recognizes an opportunity to move up in the world thanks to a missing crate of guns.

Hank declines an offer. Karen goes on a date with Ashby. Charlie and Daisy bond. Marcy remains on the mend.

Lloyd Christmas is a rather inept and simple-minded limousine driver in Providence, Rhode Island, who becomes infatuated with his passenger, Mary Swanson, as he drives her to the airport. Mary is heading home to her family in Aspen, Colorado. She drops off a briefcase with a large sum of cash at the airport terminal, as ransom money for her kidnapped husband, unbeknown to Lloyd. Lloyd witnesses the drop-off, and, thinking Mary has left the briefcase by mistake, intercepts the package before the kidnapper's accomplices pick up their pay, dashing ahead of them to snag the briefcase. Lloyd is unable to catch Mary in time, and is left on the tarmac of the airport with briefcase in hand Harry Dunne, Lloyd's roommate, is in the pet grooming business, and has recently spent his life savings converting his van (a 1984 Ford Econoline) into a sheepdog. Both Lloyd and Harry quickly lose their jobs due to preventable accidents, and the two are distraught over their situation. Thinking Lloyd is a "professional" hired by the Swansons, or perhaps an FBI agent, the kidnappers exact revenge on Harry and Lloyd by beheading Harry's pet parakeet while the pair are out looking for new jobs. Lloyd convinces Harry they should leave their messed up lives in Providence behind and head for Aspen to return the briefcase to Mary, unaware the locked briefcase contains enough money to support them both. On their way to Aspen, Harry and Lloyd have several misadventures, they inadvertently kill one of the kidnappers by accidentally feeding him rat poison, and wind up separating when Lloyd takes a wrong turn and drives them to Nebraska instead of Colorado. Out of gas and infuriated by Lloyd's mistake, Harry begins walking home, but Lloyd is able to trade the van for a small scooter, he catches up with Harry and the two proceed to Aspen. Eventually the two are found out by the man behind the kidnapping plot, Nicolas Andre, a long time confidant of the Swanson family, who holds the three in their hotel room at gunpoint. When Lloyd reveals all the money is gone, replaced with I.O.U.'s written on dirty napkins, the kidnapper freaks and almost kills the pair. The FBI intercept, and Mary is reunited with her husband, much to Lloyd's dismay, who didn't even realize Mary was married.

Wings of Desire (Der Himmel uber Berlin, translated literally as The Sky Over Berlin) is a 1987 Franco-German romantic fantasy film directed by Wim Wenders. The film is about invisible, immortal angels who populate Berlin and listen to the thoughts of the human inhabitants and comfort those who are in distress. Even though the city is densely populated, many of the people are isolated and estranged from their loved ones. One of the angels, played by Bruno Ganz, falls in love with a beautiful, lonely trapeze artist. The angel chooses to become human so that he can experience the human sensory pleasures, ranging from enjoying food to touching a loved one, and so that he can experience human love with the trapeze artist. The film is shot in both a rich, sepia-toned black-and-white and color, with the former being used to represent the world as experienced by the angels.

A gangster family epic set in Birmingham just after World War I, based on the historic Peaky Blinders gang. The story centres on a gang who sew razor blades in the peaks of their caps (hence the title), and their ambitious and highly dangerous boss Tommy Shelby. The gang come to the attention of Chief Inspector Chester Campbell, a detective in the Royal Irish Constabulary who is sent over from Belfast to Birmingham to clean up the city and purge it of the gangs
