Silver Linings Playbook is an upcoming comedy-drama film directed by David O. Russell, from a screenplay by Russell, adapted from the seriocomic novel of the same name by Matthew Quick. The film stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, with Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver, Julia Stiles and Chris Tucker in supporting roles. Silver Linings Playbook premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2012, and is set to be released in the United States and the United Kingdom on November 21, 2012.

The Expendables 2 is a 2012 American ensemble action film directed by Simon West, written by Sylvester Stallone and based on characters created by David Callaham. It is a sequel to the 2010 action film The Expendables, and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Liam Hemsworth, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The movie has two main story lines. The first follows a group of Jewish-American soldiers whose mission is to take down a group of Nazis, and the second follows a young Jewish woman who seeks to avenge the death of her parents by this Nazi group.

Mirroring the original series, the film follows a disgraced paleontologist named Rick Marshall who is ridiculed by the scientific community. With the aid of his aide Holly and hiring Will as a tour guide, the trio find themselves in a strange, pocket universe inhabited by dinosaurs, befriend a Pakuni named Cha-Ka and encounter the hostile but painfully slow-moving reptilian Sleestaks.

Tropic Thunder tells the tale of a group of prima donna actors filming a Vietnam War movie when their fed-up writer-director decides to dump them in the middle of a real war.

To spice things up for his organization, newly-hired Eagles head coach Dick Vermeil decides to hold open tryouts in 1976 for a spot on the pro football team's roster. Vince Papale is a 30-year-old bartender who has just lost his part-time teaching job. He had gone to Saint Joseph's University on a track scholarship. Disgusted with his professional failure, his wife abruptly leaves him, taking all of their furniture with her and leaving a note saying that he never will be anything in the world. With the support of all his friends from the neighborhood, Papale, goes out for an open tryout practice; catching the attention of coach Vermeil, he is invited to come along to training camp. Papale eventually makes the team, and after a dismal display in the opening game of the season, in the second regular season game versus the New York Giants, he recovers a fumble and returns it for a touchdown, which leads to Vermeil's first victory with the Eagles.

The Man is a 2005 comedy crime film starring Eugene Levy, Samuel L. Jackson, and Miguel Ferrer. It is directed by Les Mayfield and produced by Rob Fried from a screenplay by Jim Piddock, Margaret Oberman and Stephen Carpenter, based on the story by Jim Piddock and Margaret Oberman. New Line Cinema released The Man in Canada (through Alliance Atlantis) and the United States on September 9, 2005.

The film deals with the aftermath of George H. W. Bush's appeal to Iraqis to rise up against the tyranny, and the ensuing massacre as Saddam's loyalists put down the popular rebellion, killing many thousands of civilians.

The Walking Dead is a 1995 war film written and directed by Preston A. Whitmore II starring Allen Payne, Joe Morton and Eddie Griffin. The film depicts the lives of five Marines who are all assigned to rescue a group of POW during the Vietnam War in 1972. It opened to poor reviews and low box office receipts. Previews billed it as "the black experience in Vietnam".

How I Got Into College is a 1989 romantic comedy film directed by Savage Steve Holland. The story follows a girl named Jessica and her attempt to get into Ramsey College, a fictional college in Pennsylvania, and Marlon, a boy who tries to get into Ramsey to pursue Jessica, whom he is in love with. The film starred Anthony Edwards as an admissions counselor at Ramsey, Corey Parker as Marlon, and Lara Flynn Boyle as Jessica.
