Four Christmases is a film about a couple pressured into visiting all four of their divorced parents' homes on Christmas Day.

Noah Cooper, a therapist gets fired from the office where he has worked for, for many years. When he arrives back home he finds his wife's cousin, Myron Stubbs, has moved in. Later that evening his mother, Marilyn Cooper also arrives with her dogs and asks whether she can stay. Even though Noah is displeased, he allows Marilyn to stay. After some time he discovers his mother has left his father suspecting that he had an affair. He and Marilyn get hired at a carpet store, but because of Marilyn's stupid tasks both of them soon get fired. Meanwhile his relationship with his wife, Clare Cooper, deteriorates and she subsequently leaves. Marilyn spies her husband and they have an encounter. Her husband, Gene Cooper confesses that he has tried to cheat on her twice. Noah's grandmother, Helen Cooper dies, and at the funeral Noah and Maryiln debate. Noah gets moved by his mother's words and realises that his decision not to have a baby was wrong and rushes to Clare to apologize. The film ends with Marylin and Myron moving together to another place.

The film begins with a voiceover from David, commenting that, whenever he gets gloomy with the state of the world, he thinks about the arrivals terminal at Heathrow Airport, and the pure, uncomplicated love felt as friends and families welcome their arriving loved ones. David's voiceover also relates that all the known messages left by the people who died on the 9/11 planes were messages of love and not hate. The film then tells the "love" story of many people, culminating in a final scene at the airport enacted to the tune of The Beach Boys' "God Only Knows", that closes their stories. The film ends with a montage of anonymous persons greeting their arriving loved ones that slowly enlarges and fills the screen, eventually forming the shape of a heart.

"Apple - Frankie's Holiday" An unexpected holiday visitor finally receives the warm welcome he's always yearned for. Frankenstein's Monster (played by Brad Garrett) uses his iPhone to record a music box and then practices singing along at home. He heads out to the mailbox, picks up a tiny package, and then walks down the hill into town. People are scared when he walks to the Christmas tree, but then he opens his tiny box, pulls out a red and green light and screws them into the connections in his neck. He starts playing his song on the phone, but at first no one joins in and one of his lights goes out. Then a little girl helps him and soon everyone is singing along. After the remaining survivors are reunited, Sawyer and Jack hatch a plan to divert the Man in Black's attention and leave the island without him on Widmore's submarine, but disastrous consequences await them. In the flash sideways, Jack investigates the cause of Locke's paralysis and offers treatment.

After recruiting Sayid to his cause, the Man in Black issues an ultimatum to the Others: either join him or die. Meanwhile, Kate is reunited with Claire. In the flash sideways, Sayid helps his brother, who is in debt to a loan shark.

Juliet is unable to treat Ben's gunshot wound and Jack refuses to help, leading Kate to take Ben to the Others to be healed. Richard explains that the process will change Ben forever. In flashbacks, Kate decides to return to the island and leaves Aaron in the care of his grandmother.

Peggy's family entertains a new priest assigned to their parish; Freddy and Ken wine and dine a client whose attractive "wife" captures Roger's attention; the agency staff rallies to prepare for an under-the-gun pitch meeting.

When Aaron becomes sick, Claire, Kate and Rousseau travel to where Claire was held captive, an abandoned Dharma medical station, in the hope of finding a cure. Jack and Locke argue over how to deal with the captive "Henry". Claire's memories of being held captive by Ethan and her escape with the help of Rousseau and her daughter, who is now one of the Others, begin to return.

Charlie has a dream that Aaron's life is in danger and feels a need for Claire's baby son Aaron to be baptized. Claire, believing Charlie may be using drugs, is disgusted by Charlie and Locke moves the heroin statues to the hatch. In flashbacks, Charlie's one-hit wonder band unsuccessfully tries to regain some of their past fame.

A badly wounded Sayid returns to camp and tells the others about Rousseau and that there are other people on the island. Claire wakes up screaming two nights in a row and insists that someone held her down and stabbed her stomach. This attack persuades Hurley to take a census of the survivors using the flight manifest, and he discovers that Ethan was not on the plane. In flashbacks, Claire finds out she is pregnant and her boyfriend leaves her. She goes to see a psychic, who says that great danger surrounds her baby and that it must not be raised by anyone except her.

The team reopens the unsolved case of an unknown six-year-old boy, whose body was found in a cardboard box in a field in 1958.
