Sensing that Lisa would feel left out, Marge surprises her with a week-long retreat at performing arts camp, where she is greeted by her artsy counselors Ethan and Kurt and fellow musically inclined campers, who inspire her to embrace her creative side. After she returns to Springfield, Lisa becomes restless with her ho-hum suburban lifestyle and sneaks off to Sprooklyn in hopes of connecting with her inner hipster, but she soon realizes that the city is not the same as camp."

Homer and Marge once again try to discipline Bart after Mrs. Krabappel tells them that Bart has not been doing his homework, but Bart has a plan to manipulate Homer's strictness and Marge's sympathetic ear, which backfires when Homer and Marge see through the plan and decide to ignore Bart.

Homer is supposed to participate in a wedding toast with Marge, but is late for the reception because he was in line buying a lottery ticket. Homer wins the million dollar lottery, but can't tell Marge because the news reports on the exact time the ticket was sold, and Marge would know why he was late. So he hides the money in a tree and buys the family things by letting them "find" them so they won't know he has the money. Bart finds out Homer's secret and blackmails him, but eventually Homer confesses to Marge.

Nancy, Andy, Silas, Shane and Lupita brainstorm ways to come up with the money to pay off the debt owed to U-Turn. Nancy is sent on her first "job" by U-Turn to obtain an item from Mexican drug dealers and Andy is forced into the army. Celia receives advice from her divorce lawyer on how to get custody of Isabelle.

After Peter injures the Happy-Go-Lucky Toy Factory's new employee Guillermo during softball practice, he is forced by Mr. Weed to find a replacement for the upcoming softball game. Meanwhile, Lois meets the Griffin family's new neighbors, the Swansons. Peter is initially annoyed by Joe Swanson and has no interest in becoming his friend, but convinces Joe to play for the softball team once Lois mentions that he played baseball in college. Next morning at the game, Peter is surprised to learn that Joe is wheelchair-bound. Joe's experience helps the team win. Peter becomes jealous of Joe and tries to become a hero by stopping a robbery; he ends up as a hostage until Joe convinces the robbers to surrender. Peter is disappointed, but his family tells him that he is their hero.

Seymour Skinner and Edna Krabappel strike up a conversation at a party and take a romantic interest in each other. They try to keep their affair a secret, but Bart sees them kiss. The following day the couple hears Bart telling his classmates about it and silences him by deleting his permanent records. Bart becomes their go-between for exchanging love notes, but he gets tired of that and exposes Skinner and Krapappel in the janitor's closet locked in a passionate embrace. The word spreads all over town and Superintendent Chalmers gives Skinner an ultimatum. Either end the relationship or face dismissal. Skinner admits that he is in fact a virgin and the matter is cleared up.

In the episode, Grampa's new girlfriend at the Retirement Castle passes away and leaves him with $106,000. He heads for a casino to spend the money, but is stopped by Homer, so he decides to spend the inheritance money on renovating the retirement home instead.

The film is about an American man who attempts suicide in Mount Fuji's "Suicide Forest" where he meets a Japanese man who is there for the same reason.

The story continues the adventures of the creature Gizmo, who spawns numerous small monsters when wet. In the first film, Gizmo's offspring had rampaged through a small fictional town. In Gremlins 2, Gizmo multiplies within a skyscraper in New York City. The new creatures thus pose a serious threat to the city should they be able to leave the building, and much of the story involves the human characters' efforts to prevent this disaster.

Girl Crazy is a 1943 American musical film produced by the Freed Unit of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Based on the stage musical Girl Crazy – which was written by Guy Bolton and Jack McGowan, with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin – it stars Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland in the last of their nine co-starring movies. Production began with Busby Berkeley as director, but he was soon replaced by Norman Taurog. The film used all six songs from the original stage musical, plus another Gershwin song, "Fascinating Rhythm". The 1943 film was the second adaptation of the stage musical. Porgy and Bess is an opera, first performed in 1935, with music by George Gershwin, libretto by DuBose Heyward, and lyrics by DuBose Heyward and Ira Gershwin. It was based on DuBose Heyward's novel Porgy and subsequent play of the same title, which he co-wrote with his wife Dorothy Heyward.
