Sesame Street is an American educational children's television series for young children, though focusing more exclusively on preschoolers in its later years, and is a pioneer of the contemporary educational television standard, combining both education and entertainment. Sesame Street is well known for its Muppet characters created by Jim Henson. Sesame Street is produced in the United States by the non-profit organization Sesame Workshop, formerly known as the Children's Television Workshop (CTW), founded by Joan Ganz Cooney and Ralph Rogers. It premiered on November 10, 1969, on the National Educational Television (NET) network, and the following year it was moved to NET's replacement, the Public Broadcasting Service. As a result of its positive influence, Sesame Street is one of the most highly regarded educational shows for children in the world. No other television series has matched its level of international recognition and success. The original series has been televised in 120 countries, and more than 30 international versions have been produced, not including dubbed versions. The series has received 109 Emmy Awards, more than any other television series. An estimated 77 million Americans have watched the series as children; millions more have watched around the world, as have their parents.

Stander is a 2003 biographical film about Captain Andre Stander, a South African police officer turned bank robber, starring Thomas Jane who initially turned down the role. The filmmakers were able to talk to Allan Heyl, one of Andre Stander's accomplices who was still in prison; Cor van Deventer, his police partner; and the warden of the prison where Andre was incarcerated.

In an alternate Victorian Age world, a group of famous contemporary fantasy, Science Fiction and adventure characters team up on a secret mission.

A Dry White Season is a film released in 1989 by Davros Films and Sundance Productions and distributed by MGM. It was directed by Euzhan Palcy and produced by Paula Weinstein, Mary Selway and Tim Hampton. The screenplay was by Colin Welland and Euzhan Palcy, based upon Andre Brink's novel of the same name. Robert Bolt also contributed uncredited revisions of the screenplay. The film stars Donald Sutherland, Janet Suzman, Zakes Mokae, Jurgen Prochnow, Susan Sarandon and Marlon Brando (who was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor). It is set in South Africa, and deals with the subject of apartheid.

Akeem Joffer, the prince and heir to the throne of the fictitious African country Zamunda, is discontented with being pampered all his life. The final straw is when his parents present him with a bride-to-be he has never met before, trained to mindlessly obey his every command. Akeem concocts a plan to travel to America to find a wife he can both love and respect. He and his servant & friend Semmi arrive in Queens County, New York, and after several scrapes, find an apartment in the neighborhood of Jackson Heights, and begin working at a local fast food restaurant, passing themselves off as students. Akeem falls in love with Lisa, his boss' daughter, who possesses the qualities the prince is looking for. The rest of the film centers on Akeem's attempts to win Lisa's hand in marriage, while adjusting to life in America and dodging his royal duties and prerogatives.

House wants to call a 15-year-old faith healer's bluff, but when the boy is admitted into the hospital he seemingly causes a cancer patient's condition to go into remission. After being diagnosed, the boy refuses brain surgery, but when his condition worsens, House and his staff have to make a decision.

"Leo Burnett - Still" This commercial shows a boy running through a foggy field while an African traditional spiritual song plays in the background. His mother tries to keep up with him, but he's too full of energy. Soon he's up at the top of a hill running with a cape flying behind him. She takes him to the museum later, and he continues just running all over - past all the exhibits including the dinosaur bones and up and down the stairs. Later that night, he's still running around, now in the woods - tripping and falling hardly even slows him down, and he fights his mother about wearing his hat. The next morning, the boy's mother pours him a bowl of Rice Krispies and they both a quiet as they listen to the snap, crackle, pop of the cereal in the milk. It's probably the only break the mother will get all day... "Rice Krispies Colouring" This commercial shows a series of miserable kids. They are all unhappy because they are either home from school, on vacation, or on a road trip, and are stuck inside because it is pouring rain outside. On is stuck inside a cabin, another stuck in an RV at a camp site, while a third is stuck in the car at the beach. The parents pull out a box of Rice Krispies cereal.
