Set in an alternate universe circa 1985, the film's world is an unstable one where a nuclear war is imminent between America and Russia. Superheroes have been forced to go into retirement due to the government's Keene Act, but the death of The Comedian an ex-hero commando, perks the interest of one of the country's last remaining superheroes, Rorschach.

Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski is the ultimate L.A. slacker, until the day his house is broken into and his rug is ruined by two angry gangsters who have mistaken him for Jeffrey Lebowski, the L.A. millionaire, whose wife owes big money to some very bad people. "The Dude" becomes mixed up in the crazy plot when he goes to visit the real Lebowski in order to get some retribution for his soiled rug, and is recruited to be the liason between Lebowski and the captors of his now "kidnapped" wife. Branded is an American Western series which aired on NBC from 1965 through 1966, sponsored by Procter & Gamble in its Sunday night 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time period, and starred Chuck Connors as Jason McCord, a United States Army Cavalry captain who had been drummed out of the service following an unjust accusation of cowardice.
