CIA officer Evelyn Salt goes on the run to try to clear her name after being accused by a defector of being a KGB sleeper agent plotting to assassinate the President of the United States.

"Treehouse of Horror XXIV" kicks off with "Oh, the Places You'll D'oh," a Dr. Seuss parody in which Homer cuts a path of destruction as "The Fat in the Hat." Next, a decapitated Bart is forced to live on Lisa's body in "Dead and Shoulders." Doug doesn't want to make a big deal about it, but Carrie insists that they get the credit they deserve. After trying to correct the mistake, another is made - listing the donation at $5000 instead of $500. This time, Carrie wants to keep the recognition without having to pay the price.

After Peter injures the Happy-Go-Lucky Toy Factory's new employee Guillermo during softball practice, he is forced by Mr. Weed to find a replacement for the upcoming softball game. Peter becomes jealous of Joe and tries to become a hero by stopping a robbery; he ends up as a hostage until Joe convinces the robbers to surrender. Peter is disappointed, but his family tells him that he is their hero.

The fate of people from Jerry's and George's past is revealed as Jerry is forced to account for an overdue book from 1971. Kramer falls for a librarian. Elaine fears trouble at work.

In the episode, Homer consumes a poisonous fugu fish at a sushi restaurant, and is told that he has only twenty-four hours left to live. He accepts his fate and makes a list of all the things he wants to do before he dies.

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish is a 1960 children's book by Dr. Seuss. A simple rhyming book for learner readers, it is a book with a freewheeling plot about a boy and a girl, and the many amazing creatures they have for friends and pets.

What Pet Should I Get? is a Dr. Seuss children's book that is scheduled for publication on July 28, 2015. Believed to have been written between 1958 and 1962, the book is based on manuscripts that his widow discovered while cleaning up his office shortly after his death in 1991 and then rediscovered in 2013. The book is similar to his other works like One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. The book was found alongside another manuscript, although the title of that book has yet to be disclosed.
