The Governor meets with Michonne after this incident and asks her to stay in Woodbury. In response, she takes her sword and threatens the Governor by putting it up to his neck. Michonne and Andrea are ready to leave when Andrea finally expresses that she can't take another eight months on the outside in fear for her life. She tries to convince Michonne to stay, but Michonne decides to leave on her own. That night at a raucous gathering, Andrea is disturbed to witness that defanged walkers are used for spectacle entertainment in staged fights to raise morale. Back at the prison, everyone is grieving their losses. Rick abandons his parental duties to kill walkers in a rage, so Daryl steps up as leader and takes Maggie on a scavenger run to obtain needed infant formula and supplies for the as-yet-unnamed newborn. They succeed, and Glenn, Axel, and Oscar dig graves for Lori, Carol, and T-Dog. The episode closes with Rick in the boiler room where Lori died, awakened from a daze by the ringing of an old rotary telephone, which he answers.

Raylan visits Boyd in the prison hospital to check on him, and transport Crowe to prison. Meanwhile, during a 'prison band' performance, convict Douglas Cooper and a fellow inmate escape. After Art Mullen asks Raylan to return to investigate, Raylan makes a stop at a gas station. Unbeknownst to Raylan, the convicts have set a trap, and Cooper makes off with Raylan's guns, car and hat. After learning that Cooper only had three months left on his sentence, Raylan and marshal Gutterson make a trip to Cooper's ex-wife, Shirley. Cooper then visits after and makes a deal with Shirley and Dupree, Shirley's 'cousin'. They are looking for money Cooper hid in the flooring of development housing during construction. After Ava makes a house call to Raylan, he discovers a hunch as to the location of the money. Cooper, however, screwed up the location. After Dupree shoots Cooper, they find the right house, whose occupants have spent it all. A hostage situation ensues after Cooper helps Raylan find the right house, and Shirley helps Raylan by allowing Gutterson to snipe Dupree, citing that it 'wasn't right' to shoot Cooper. The episode ends with a nice conversation between Cooper and Raylan as they once again leave the prison.

When Charlie loses his job, Hank takes him out to town. Meanwhile, Karen, Becca and Marcy have a girl's night out. Hank and Charlie steal one of Hank's autographed books from a book store and have a near-fatal run in with two robbers at a liquor store.

The team reopens the case of a teenage girl who was murdered in 1976, and uncover evidence that she had become involved with a notorious motorcycle gang shortly before her death. The victim's father sees her as he lays down flowers where she died.

Meanwhile, Joy struggles to tell Darnell that she lost his beloved pet turtle.

Lily tries to fit in with Robin's new friends, but Robin confirms that Lily is her best friend and she just needs the Woo! girls to unwind as a single person. Barney gives Ted a shot at designing a new bank building, but Barney is swayed by the Sprockets-like Swedish collective architects "Sven". Marshall steps in and Ted is awarded the contract.

A drunken Earl crashes the party, accidentally breaking Joy’s nose, and adds “ruined Joy’s wedding” to his list. While he is trying to help her out on plans for a second, better wedding so she would forgive him, he ends up sleeping with Joy. When Crab man hears this, he is upset at first but then forgives Earl saying "Hey, you weren't mad when I did it to you".

While Earl and Randy were in high school, Earl fixes their school football game to win a bet with a store owner, but realizes that he forced Randy to give up a touchdown that he would've gotten. Earl sends Randy back to high school to get his touchdown back, but finds out that Joy had his car impounded since he refused to give her any of his lotto money. Earl and Randy go to the impound yard to get the car back, but Earl has to pay $3000 for unpayed parking tickets. Meanwhile, during Randy's game, Earl and Catalina were there to give him support, and Randy almosts gets a touchdown, but fumbles the ball, which costs his team the game. Earl finds out that Joy got the $3000 to get his lotto money, but Randy drives up with his car and his money, and Randy told him that he fumbled the ball on purpose to win a bet for $3000.

George attends a funeral to chase her new love Trip... the guy whose father's soul she reaped a week earlier. Mason becomes the sensible one when he crashes the funeral ceremony to steal some items. Meanwhile, Daisy dresses up as a maid to sneak into a hotel room for her reap: a murder victim of a hapless mistress which traumatizes her. Rube places Roxy in temporary charge as he goes searching for something. Elsewhere, trouble brews when Reggie's science experiment pits her parents against one another.
