The Woods

The Woods is a 2006 American supernatural horror film directed by Lucky McKee and starring Agnes Bruckner, Patricia Clarkson, Rachel Nichols, Kathleen Mackey and Bruce Campbell. Set in 1965, the plot centers on a wayward teenage girl who is sent to a New England all-girls private high school which holds an ominous secret related to the staff, history, and woods surrounding the school.

The discovery of nine human skulls leads the team back to the serial killer George Marks, whom they were unable to incriminate months earlier and, as the detectives re-investigate his mother's 1972 murder, he emerges from hiding to face Det. Rush one-on-one. Lilly sees George (as the young victim and not adult killer) and his mother looking down from a window. George's victims are not seen.

The plot revolves around a widowed housewife from an affluent California suburb who becomes her neighborhood's marijuana dealer to make ends meet.
