This commercial shows Apple's new voice recognition features for the Apple iPhone 4S. The software/app is called "Siri" and has a number of interesting features. The ad begins with a man jogging with his iPhone. He simply talks to the phone and it responds to his commands and questions. Next a man in his car asks for a traffic report and the phone loads up Google Maps with the local traffic. We then see a woman packing for a trip. She asks Siri if it's going to be cold in San Francisco this weekend, and it looks up the weather forecast for her. A woman is shown making a recipe with bananas in the kitchen. She asks how many cups are in 12oz and a conversion chart is loaded up on the screen. When she is ready to put her cupcakes/muffins in the oven, she tells Siri to set her timer for 30 minutes and the iPhone starts counting down. Next we see a woman who is blind reading braille on her couch. Unlike previous examples, Siri initiates the conversation on this when a new message comes in because the woman cannot read the iPhone screen. It reads the message out loud to her, and she dictates her reply out loud. Man Jogging: Read me the message Siri: New message from Sebastian: Great news. We got the go-ahead. Can you meet at 10? Man Jogging: Reply: Definitely. I'll see you there. Play me running mix. Man Driving: What's the traffic like around here? Siri: Here's the traffic. Man Driving: Text my wife, I'm going to be 30 minutes late. Woman Packing: Is it going to be chilly in San Francisco this weekend? Siri: Not too cold. Maybe down to 61 degrees in San Francisco. Woman Packing: What about Napa Valley? Siri: Doesn't seem like it. Woman Cooking: How many cups are in 12 ounces? Siri: Let me think... okay, here you go. Woman Cooking: Set my timer for 30 minutes. Siri: Okay, 30 minutes and counting. Siri: New notification for messages. Sandy Cheng: Are we stil on for dinner tonight? Woman on Couch: Reply: Sure I'll be there. Siri: Here's your reply to Sandy Cheng: Sure, I'll be there. Woman on Couch: Send. (Lyrics) All right. Well, tell me what'd I say? Tell me what I say right now.
