This commercial for State Farm is a September 11, 2011 tribute with school children traveling across New York City on school buses, singing this song to Fire Fighters of New York City. The commercial ends with a view of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, State Farm partnered with award-winning director Spike Lee to film a touching tribute to thank the heroes of New York. Nearly 150 school children (ages 8-11) from the New York City area visited four firehouses and thanked the firefighters through song. This commercial featuring Alicia Keys begins with a closeup of the singer's eye while she narrates. The camera zooms in to her eye in an animated representation of her childhood home and the beginnings of her music career. It begins on a snowy night in an alley. A hopscotch court is shown with shadows creeping toward it, but the bright lights of Broadway win over the darkness. An animated keyboard twists through the city which is lit up lick a cartoon sun.
