The plot chronicles the romantic misadventures of several individuals in their twenties and thirties. The common thread is that one person in each relationship is more "into" the other person than vice versa. At the core of these multiple stories is Gigi, a young woman who repeatedly misinterprets the signs that men give her about their level of interest in her. The more experienced and romantically successful Alex, the manager of a bar, advises her on how to understand men.

The film follows the repercussions of a drunken one night stand between a guy who is a slacker and a woman who is a newly-promoted media personality character that results in an unintended pregnancy.
