Chris sends Leslie and Ben on a road trip to Indianapolis and Leslie is unsure if she can keep from acting on her feelings for Ben in such close quarters. Tom invents a new game show entitled "Know Ya' Boo" (stolen from The Newlywed Game) and tests it out on April, Andy, Donna and Jerry. Unfortunately, April accidentally reveals she likes another band more than Andy's. A young girl on a school trip gets more than she bargained for when she asks Ron to tell her about how the government works. After seeking advice from Ann, April reconciles with Andy through an impromtu Mouserat concert. Upon their return to Pawnee, Leslie and Ben kiss.

After a drug addict brings in an audio tape in which a fatal shooting is heard, the team reopens a 1973 case involving the unsolved death of a young police officer murdered after responding to a call at a drug-infested housing project.

Jack must appear before Congress to discuss NBC's merger with KableTown. He hopes that he will charm celebrity members, but one Congresswoman demands more diversity in its programming lineup. Jack quickly enlists Tracy to come up with some new development ideas. Meanwhile, Liz is fed up with the criticism her writing staff gives her, and finally Jenna helps Kenneth reapply in the competitive page program.
