When Peter and the guys try to take salvage a sunken Mercedes-Benz, Peter half-heartedly promises a favor to a helpful dolphin (guest voice Ricky Gervais). Soon, the dolphin moves to Quahog, outstays his welcome at Peter's and moves into Cleveland's house across the street. Peter tries to reunite the dolphin with his ex-wife in hopes that he'll return to the ocean, but his plan backfires and the whole dolphin family moves into Cleveland's.

Chris runs for eighth-grade class president against Caruso. Meanwhile, Julius learns he has high blood pressure and tries to reduce the amount of stress in his life. Tanya wants Drew to teach her how to Moonwalk like Billy Ocean.

At Doug's high school reunion, Doug and an old classmate (played by Adam Sandler) plot revenge on their former principal. Meanwhile, Carrie and Arthur try hard to find a movie to watch which they will both enjoy.

After Doug and Carrie's next door neighbors move out, they are hopeful that their friends, Deacon and Kelly, who are looking to buy a home, will want to live enxt door to them. They are disappointed when the Palmers turn down the opportunity. Meanwhile, Danny and Spence are fighting over an Armenian woman - each going to great lengths to win her affection.

When J.D. develops vasovagal syncope, a condition which results in fainting or blackouts, he finds himself not only having to deal with losing his girlfriend and his apartment, but also his consciousness. Elliot and Turk debate over whose turn it is to take care of the always luckless attending, while Carla tries out her new excuse: "I have a baby." Elsewhere, the Janitor embarks on a cruise vacation. Deacon is planning to take an aptitude test at IPS, and when Carrie hears about it, she encourages Doug to follow his dreams, hoping he'll take the test as well. Turns out Doug's dreams are to become a bartender - like Tom Cruise in the movie Cocktail. So, Doug enrolls in a local bartending school to find out what he's been missing all these years. He decides that bartending is not for him, but after Carrie finds out how much money he makes in tips, she encourages him to keep at it just a little while longer. Meanwhile, Arthur is running for high office at the senior center.

On Valentine's Day, Criss (James Marsden) and Liz search for a dining room table. Avery's mother (Mary Steenburgen) visits Jack. Jenna and Pete prepare for the Jenna's first live performance on America's Kidz Got Singing. Tracy and Frank aid Lutz in looking for a Valentine's Day date.

Dancin' thru the Dark is a 1990 British film directed by Mike Ockrent and written by Willy Russell, based on the play Stags and Hens by the same author and starring Con O'Neill, Claire Hackett, Simon O'Brien, Julia Deakin, Marji Campi, Colin Welland and Mark Womack. The film was also famous to be the only movie that Donny 'The Tash' Whelan starred in. His appearance was voted as 3rd best cameo ever by Total Film readers, finishing behind Sean Connery in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Vanilla Ice in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
