A world-renowned photographer, Renny Sinclair (Rick Springfield), has been murdered while on assignment in Hawaii shooting the annual swimsuit edition of a top sports magazine. Meanwhile Chin Ho got the call from Internal Affairs after his uncle (Sab Shimono) confessed to them about the stolen money that Chin Ho was accused of.

A man (John) is sitting in his office cubicle wearing headphones, singing along to the song 'Hit the Lights' as he looks through his pictures from Las Vegas. When his boss walks up behind him, and sees that John is not working, he asks him what's going on. John quickly closes his photo slideshow, bringing up a chart on the computer.
