Nick discovers more about his family's history while working on a case involving a flash mob gone horribly wrong. Nick and Hank find themselves at odds when they are both assigned to protect a shady person from their dark past.

At Stoolfest, a local community festival, Cleveland calls Holt to tell him of a concert. he finds Holt out shopping with his mother and unable to go. Later that night at The Broken Stool, the guys tell Holt he is too accommodating to his mother's wishes. When Donna sees Holt in a rage from their bedroom, she shows Cleveland and when they see Holt rolling up a figure in a carpet and take it away they assume Holt killed his mother. Cleveland helps the police set up a police sting operation and get Holt to show them where he buried the body...a sex doll that Holt decided he needed to get away from. Holt admits to Cleveland he hasn't had luck with real women and they set Holt up with Jane, a girl from the Waterman Cable office.

In this episode, Michael tries to liven the work atmosphere by creating a dance room called Cafe Disco out of his old Michael Scott Paper Company office. Nobody joins him at first, but eventually a dance party involving the entire office and outsiders breaks out. Phyllis injures her back and is nursed back to health by Dwight, and Jim and Pam discuss secretly getting married that day in a simple courthouse ceremony.

The discovery of a presumed snuff film featuring a missing teenage runaway causes the team to reopen a murder investigation from 1979. The victim and her boyfriend share a final dance. No one is arrested as the death is ruled as suicide.

It's Dave and Ivan's wedding day, and Erica find herself living her own relationship fantasies.

Michael comes into the office as Santa and is outraged that Jim had already allowed Phyllis to be Santa at the office Christmas party this year. Everyone seems to enjoy having Phyllis as Santa, but Michael continues to try and steal her thunder, prompting Jim to tell him to cease and desist. Michael then rearranges his costume into a Jesus outfit and starts interrupting Phyllis while she's giving out the Secret Santa gifts. When Jim stops Michael again, Michael calls CFO David Wallace to complain. David asks not to be bothered as someone made an agreement to buy the company, and David and presumably everyone else will lose their jobs after the fact.

This film is about two 28-year-old women who appear to have achieved very little success in life and decide to invent fake careers to impress former classmates at their 10 year high school reunion.
