The team re-investigates the 1990 case of a murdered church organist when his Alzheimer's-stricken widow begins having flashbacks of the night in question.

After inviting his former college a cappella group, Here Comes Treble, to perform for the office during Halloween, Andy gets angry when he hears that his college friend Broccoli Rob (Stephen Colbert) is telling a different story about the group. Dwight tries to track down a madman in the office; Jim and Pam fight over his new job.

Adam breaks his arm and exaggerates at school that he fell off of a hover board just like in the "Back to the Future" movie. The lie threatens his friendship with Emmy Mirsky after she defends his story. Meanwhile, the family falls in love with the new Chinese restaurant in town and Beverly fears she's being replaced in the kitchen. When Beverly gets the boys and Erica banned from the Chinese Restaurant, it begins a war between Beverly and Dave Kim's mom. Adam tries to make a fake video about breaking his arm and Emmy Mirsky catches him in the act. They almost stop being friends, but continue. The family then decides to go to the Chinese Garden every Friday night.

J.D, Turk, and Carla work together to diagnose one of J.D.'s patients. Elliot, frustrated that everyone walks all over her and desperately needing to change her bad-luck streak, acts on some advice from the Janitor and gets a make-over.

When the vice president comes to Greendale, Dean Pelton organizes a student body election, which Annie is determined to win against Leonard, Jeff, and Star Burns. Meanwhile, Abed becomes friends with a secret service agent.

An old friend and former patient of Wilson's experiences paralysis in his right arm. Wilson takes this case himself. House thinks his friend has cancer like before, however Wilson stays optimistic until the worst happens. Now he is forced to make radical decisions. Cuddy continues her search for real estate.
