Roger Greenberg is at a crossroads in his life. Out of a job and none too interested in finding one, he agrees to housesit for his younger and more successful brother, thereby getting a free place to stay in Los Angeles. Once settled in, Greenberg sets out to reconnect with his old friend and former bandmate Ivan. But times have changed, and old friends aren’t necessarily still best friends, so Greenberg finds himself spending more and more time instead with his brother’s personal assistant Florence, an aspiring singer and herself something of a lost soul. As their relationship develops through a series of embarrassingly awkward romantic encounters, even someone as irascible as Greenberg might have at last found a reason to be happy.

Miller is a secret agent who goes on a blind date with unlucky-in-love June Havens, and ends up pulling her into a serious yet comedic journey to protect a powerful battery that holds the key to an infinite power source. Matters are further complicated when Miller's former spymasters contact June and claim that Miller has suffered a psychotic breakdown in the past week, leaving her increasingly doubtful who she can trust.

Rated X is a 2000 film starring brothers Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez, with the latter also directing. It is based on the nonfiction book X-Rated by David McCumber which chronicles the story of the Mitchell brothers, Jim and Artie Mitchell, who were pioneers in the pornography and strip club businesses in San Francisco in the 1970s and 1980s. The movie was shot in Vancouver, Hamilton, Ontario, Toronto, Ontario, and features a cameo appearance by Kim Poirier as Jamie the "Actress."
