Press is set in the world of newspapers - its past riven by hacking scandals, its present at the mercy of the digital age and the 24 hour news cycle, its future uncertain.

Series 1 of Prey revolves around Detective Constable Marcus Farrow, a well-liked detective with the fictional Manchester Metropolitan Police and a husband with two children. His life falls apart when he finds his wife murdered (later an inspector indicated the murder of one of his sons), and all the evidence points directly to him. Discovered at the scene of the crime, Marcus escapes and goes underground in Manchester as a criminal on the streets he used to police. Series 2 of Prey revolves around Prison Officer David Murdoch. His life becomes complicated when on a routine visit to a Manchester hospital with female prisoner Jules Hope events spiral out of control. David takes a phone call, which will change his life forever and suddenly sees him on the wrong side of the law.

In Prey, the player controls Morgan Yu while exploring the moon-orbiting space station Talos I, where research into a hostile alien collective called the Typhon is performed. As the Typhon escape confinement, the player uses a variety of weapons and abilities derived from the Typhon to avoid being killed by the aliens while looking to escape the station. The station is presented as an open world to the player, with progression through the world after obtaining key items or abilities similar in nature to a Metroidvania game.

In Woodbury, Andrea begins to suspect that The Governor has no intention of making peace with Rick. Milton finally reveals The Governor's plans to her but stops her attempt to assassinate The Governor. With no other choice, Andrea decides to leave Woodbury to warn Rick and the others, telling Tyreese and Sasha before leaving that The Governor cannot be trusted. Upon learning of Andrea's departure, The Governor immediately leaves to track her down. Meanwhile, Tyreese and Allen get into a fight, with Allen worried that Tyreese's suspicions about The Governor's motives risk getting them thrown out of Woodbury. Andrea finally manages to reach the prison, but The Governor captures her before she can enter it, and moments before Rick would spy her emerging from the woods. When The Governor returns to Woodbury, he learns somebody had burned all of the captured walkers that Woodbury had been gathering as weapons; Tyreese and Milton appear to be the likely suspects. Meanwhile, Andrea is revealed to be tied up in the Governor's secret torture chamber.
