Happy Endings is a 2005 American film directed by Don Roos and starring Lisa Kudrow, Tom Arnold, Steve Coogan and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The expression "happy ending" is a colloquial term for the practice of a masseuse to offer sexual release to a client. The film follows a diverse group of mostly middle-class Los Angelenos through the emotional ups and downs in their flawed yet very human lives, each loosely connected to each other through a restaurant.

The series is based around the lives of a group of friends whose little group will be rocked when the couple that brought them together, Alex and Dave, break up. Leaving the group in an awkward position of either trying to stay together or choosing sides. Alex and Dave decide to stay friends but there are many more complications down the road.

The hunt is on for Juan's car, on the assumption that it contains the last recording he made. Briggs asks Jakes' help to find it and get rid of it; he reluctantly agrees after Briggs tells him the true story of Juan's death. Jakes finds evidence that the car was stolen off the street. They locate the likely thief, a petty criminal named Clayton already known to Briggs. Mike and Paige independently trace the car to Clayton. Briggs finds Clayton and asks him for work, using his prior undercover persona. Clayton agrees to use him when he robs a massage parlor the next day, using Juan's car for the getaway. Mike arrives and manages to insert himself into this plan in place of Jakes. Briggs arranges with Jakes to give him time to take the recording from the car when the robbers are arrested, but Mike foils this by handcuffing Briggs to a wall during the robbery. Mike arrests Clayton when they reach the car, but the recording is gone. Meanwhile, Johnny locates Quinn for Charlie and she visits him, bringing Cortes/Jangles as her partner because Quinn has seen Johnny. She gets alone with Quinn and savagely beats him, blaming him for Whistler's death. Briggs takes a backpack from behind a wall in Graceland and leaves for parts unknown.

Having been stripped of their franchise, Christine and Barb decide to turn the gym into a spa. They are overjoyed by how quickly their new business has become a success -- until they find out Matthew informs them that they're actually running a brothel. Christine, in an effort to reopen a new gym following this, asks Marly and Lindsay for an investment. Richard experiences mothers at Ritchie's school for the first time when Christine has to work on the gym and realizes that Christine may have been right about their behavior.
