This Television Commercial plays Cars performed by Gary Numan
This is the song Gary Numan plays on the car horns, and then the original version plays at the end.
The commercial begins in total blackness. We then see some flourescent lights slowly flicker on built up in the shape of a cube. Inside the cube is some music/electronic equipment. As the narrator begins speaking, we get a better idea of what the equipment is - a "cube of lights", a double-step keyboard, numerous cars, and Gary Numan who is wearing all black (Gary Numan is powered by a battery?). We see Gary Numan flip several switches to power on the keyboard. He then presses a key and one of the car horns goes off as its headlights turn on. Numan then starts to play his 1980's hit, "Cars" on the keyboard which sounds off through the different notes of the car horns. The cars are lined up like a piano keyboard and are black and white like the keys of a piano. After he plays the intro to the song, a technician goes over and starts one of the cars, which starts a chain reaction and turns on all the cars. Gary Newman We powered a cube of lights, a double-step keyboard, 24 cars without batteries, and Gary Numan all with one DieHard Platinum battery. All that and they all still start.
